“Awesome Experience”
This hotel could not have been in a better location. You literally walked out the door and you were looking at the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. The sidewalk cafe right outside the door had great food and good service. The rooms were very nice and very clean. I hope someday to go back there again.
“Best Birthday Gift Ever at the Marconi Hotel”
Staff make you feel welcome and comfortable. Very friendly and create an ambiance to make you feel like your at your own home. Only downside is no elevator, but this is soon forgotten with all the great qualities both the hotel and location have to offer.
“Excellent location to everything in Venice”
Excellent location
“Marconi Hotel”
Good location! near everything or walkable distance and very friendly staff. Bathroom was nice and clean, everything small but clean. Beds a bit hard but all ok. They even put two double beds for us to stay all together with the kids. Not bad for Venetian standards! Breakfast was very complete and very good.
“Venice grand canal”
Linens were a little dated. Breakfast was good. Service very good.
“Great location, staff very friendly and helpful.”
You can't find a more central location than this in Venice. Right next to the Rialto Bridge, it's a short walk to the plazza, the train station, good food and all the water taxis. The staff was a big help in getting us settled, recommending good places to eat, ordering taxis for us and also getting us over to Murano for a glass factory demo. Very helpful people on all 3 shifts of the front desk. Breakfast was great also -- classic European continential with some of the local aged hams as well.
“Great time in Venice”
This hotel was fantastic. It had incredible charm, and was located right on the grand canal. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was also very good. The only thing was that the mattress in our room was quite stiff, but still bearable even so. I would definately reccomend this hotel to others!
“Excellent Hotel - happy to stay again!”
The Marconi has a great location on the grand canal. Ideal location for walking the city. Additionally, both gondola and public water taxi service are available right outside Marconi's door. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The Marconi's breakfast is delicious featuring cheeses, eggs, meats, breads and juices. Yes there is coffee and teas too.
“Great Location”
After walking around all of Venice, I must say that the location of the Marconi is one of the best in the city. You are footsteps from one of the city's main attractions and there are excellent resturaunts right in front of your hotel. The hotel is relatively well-maintained. It is not perfect but in a city like Venice you cannot expect a hotel to be perfect (who in their right mind would spend money on major renovations when the city is sinking). The hotel felt old in certain ways but I thought that it added to the experience since the whole city feels ancient. That said, it was very clean. The service was decent and certainly good by European standards.
“Location is the best”
The Marconi is located in the perfect location. We could walk to all the main tourist locations and we loved being right on the canal and next to the Rialto Bridge. It was a good landmark in case we got lost, which inevitabley happens in Venice. We knew exactly what to expect from the other reviews. Not too fancy but great for the price, especially for Venice. Definitely an older decor and the bed wasn't too comfortable, but clean and maintained. The bathroom was clean which I thought was important. Would definitely stay here again if we go back to Venice. Would recommend as long as you are easy going, and know that location is what you are getting for your money. The hotel front desk staff was very nice and informative and check-in was very easy. Don't bother with the hotel's breakfast. Go exploring for a latte or chocolate crossiant instead.

Area:
San Polo, Venice, Italy: Home of the Rialto Market, San Polo is the busiest sestiere (district) after San Marco. For local colour, great little shops, bars and cafes, the Rialto market area is a must. Dining on the Grand Canal next to the iconic Rialto Bridge is a romantic Venetian cliché. Near the bridge, the Ca Pesaro is home to the Museum of Modern Art while 16th-century masterpieces are on show at the Frari church and Scuola Grande di San Rocco.
