I woke up with bite marks all over my legs. I’m freaking out that they may have bed bugs in their room. I attempted to call to speak to the manager regarding this, and was told that they weren’t in, that they were in a meeting etc. I told the front desk person what the problem was and they told me to call back, and then to send an email with my concern. I told them bed bugs are a SERIOUS issue that they need to check and address right away. They told me to write an email. I got a hold of the Expedia rep and they said they would advocate for me and that someone would follow up with them. It’s been 2 days and I have heard nothing. I will be disposing if my items upon returning home and hope to god no one else picks them up upon their travels. No feedback from hotel, no one reached out, no help whatsoever. Just stress for the whole family.

Primera vez que me sucede que a pesar que las habitaciones estaban disponibles, no nos entregaron las llaves porque el hotel cobraba 40 euros por early check in, nosotros llegamos a la 1pm y el check in era a las 2pm, sólo faltaba 1 hora. Éramos 4 parejas, y cada pareja su habitación, tuvimos que registrarnos y dejar las maletas, para no perder tiempo porque era nuestro último día y queríamos visitar Murano y Burano. Al momento de registrarnos nos dieron el número de habitación pero no las llaves, y la muchacha que nos registró me dijo, tu eres la ganadora, ganaste la suite, y todos lo celebramos y le dije regreso a mi suite cuando terminemos el paseo. Regresamos todos y a mis amigos les dieron las llaves de los cuartos que le habían asignado temprano, y a mi esposo y a mi nos cambiaron el cuarto, le pregunté al staff Lorenzo por la suite que me habían asignado temprano y me dijo que había sido un error, le enseñe el recibo con el número de la habitación que me habían dado y le comenté lo que la muchacha me había dicho temprano y no le daba la gana de darme la misma habitación, hasta que sus compañeros le dijeron que me la de, y yo le dije que era un maltrato y pésimo costumer service, yo no había pedido esa habitación, la recepcionista temprano me dijo que me la gané y mi error fue no preguntar porqué. Pero después de eso me dieron la habitación y todo muy limpio y muy cómodo.

A bit dated, carpets etc are stained, doesn't look pleasing, location wise not that great, about 6 mins walk to public transport but there's no pavement for a few hundred yards to walk on. However, hotel receptionists were great.

It is a lot to describe, simply not easy for families who are travelling by public transport. And when you booked that time the local charge was not described. It's very expensive when you travel by taxi to the hotel or travel towards the airport or anywhere else. It's hard for people who speak the English language to understand the signs and notices. Too much time is wasted discovering every thing.

We had a lovely couple of days here with our 5 year old who loved the pool! Very close to Lidl. Make sure you buy your Venice day pass tickets from reception before you head out.

After staying at the novatell, Inn Athens, I expected much more in the way of service and amenities. Unfortunately, at this location, they penny pinch everything or not super friendly or accommodating on any level the hours of operation for both the restaurant, and the pool are ridiculous as well as the fact that you can’t order drinks and sit outside by the pool in some areas without ordering food as well even when the restaurant is closed, this hotel needs to step it up a notch if they think it’s worth going out of their way to stay there when they’re not local to anything and taxis are fortune. I definitely would not go back to this location of novatell.

The staff was so helpful . Cleaners was great and we always had fresh towels . Because it was so hot the cleaners dropped water and fizzy drinks through out the day . Breakfast was excellent and kids ate free . Parking was so easy and 10min bus ride into the Venice itself was so easy and we was really worried about this . Excellent hotel and good location for those wanting to drop into Venice . There is also a good water park 20mins drive away which the kids loved .

We stayed for 3 nights overall both times that we stayed there were issues in the room first night. There was no power from the sockets nor from the USB sockets. We have the engineer visit the room and was told it was the adapter that was causing the issues and try not to move it whilst it was plugged in, also the phone in the room did not ring out to reception. Therefore when we want to call them later in the evening for an extra pillow, we couldn’t . the following week of stayed two nights the USB ports didn’t work in this room either. We wanted to call reception but there was no numbering on the phone. Also the safe did not work. We asked for the safe to be looked at but no one showed up so we couldn’t use this. Overall, we were not impressed.

The hotel is excellent with a great choice of food ror breakfast. The pancakes were very popular. There is not much to do near the hotel, however, there is a Lidl within about 4 minutes walking distance and within 10 minutes there is a bus stop to catch the bus to Venice (the number 2) and the number 13 take takes you to a large shopping mall. Mestre town also has a variety of restaraunts and there is a tram that takes you into the centre.

Wrong choice for Venice visit
The hotel was nice. Staff not so informed of their job. Room and bathroom were big. However, aircon was busted and noisy. Worst part, cleaning lady left room window opened so many mosquitos were in the room and we woke up with many bites all over. Location is really far from Venice. No shuttle to the bus stop.

We came in very late at night and the staff was very accommodating just make sure to bring everyone’s passport to include your child(ren) at check-in. There’s a burger place across the street and right next to a gas station. This was our favorite hotel for our dogs. They had their own dog park for them to include doggie poop bags and in the summer a small fountain. I just wish it was completely gated off rather than being able to access to docking area of the hotel. Parking was very convenient and free at the time. Just make sure you get a ticket from the front desk if you want to leave since you’ll need it to lift the parking barrier.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is located 2 bus stops from the railway station Venice Mestre. The bus stop is around the corner (5 min walk). The stuff is very friendly, the room was clean. It is 20 min away from Marco Polo airport.

Clean hotel overall. But the check in experience was not the greatest. We had to wait for atleast 30 mins waiting for the room to be ready. Once they gave us the set of key cards (2cards in total) were both not working. We had to keep going back down the reception telling them it wasnt working. They kept telling us to swipe the card faster (which we did with video to show/prove them we tried everything). Maintenance had to give us 1 master key after an hour trying to open the our room. One of the girl from the reception just kept dismissing our issue, and wasnt helpful at all.
