“Stay somewhere else!!!!!!!”
If you look at the website, there is a misleading picture of St. Marks Square, making it look like that is where you are staying. This is not so. It is a ten min walk to the Sq. Also, the SUPERIOR room we stayed in was as small as an inside cabin on a cruise. I'll put it this way, I'm 5''2 and if I put my hand straight above my head, I could touch the ceiling. The room was also dirty, there were wrappers from candy bars left where the mini bar is. The air conditioner was not attached properly and made a loud noice ALL night, when I tried to fix it, dust went flying everywhere. The fruit salad they serve at breakfast comes out of a can and the rest of the food is bad.. (very hard bread, undercooked eggs). One morning, my husband and I went to eat at 8 and no one was there to get us coffee. At 8:20 we finished but still did not have coffee so I went to the front desk to ask where the waiter was and sure enough, he was downstairs hanging out at the front desk talking to the person there! Do yourself a favor and don't even think about staying here.

A charming hotel, well located right next to the Duomo. Originally a palace, now a historic building converted to a hotel. Housekeepers live on the premises. Security was amazing!! Owners were present every day, always tending to the hotel to make sure everything was in top condition. When the weather turned warm unexpectedly, the air-conditioners were immediately set to "cool" rather than heat. And our room was wonderfully cool! Lovely people, lovely room, lovely breakfast. If you are looking for local charm and not a "chain" hotel, this one is perfect!
“Impressed hotel in Venice”
We stayed one week from 8/4/09 to 8/11/09. The hotel has no name in front so It's very hard to find it from the water shuttle drop off point. The front desk is helpful to send people to get us. The decoration in the room is very nice. The room is very clean. The front desk, especially Alexendra is vey helpful. The breakfast is OK overall, Francisco is very friendly to satisfy our request. The hotel is in good location, 5 minutes walking to San Marco or Rialto. We can get free transportation Murano thru the hotel. Remember the restaurant outside, in front of the hotel refused to serve if we wear short. I would like to recommmend this hotel.
“Good option for a few days in Venice...”
The hotel is small, confortable, recently restored (I believe it used to be an Embassy or diplomatic house) and it is very well located. Breakfast was above-average for European standards and people were friendly. You can take a "water taxi" right to the entrance...
