Slightly disappointed -misleading photosPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Quiet location
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in room , better choice for breakfast , more pillows in bedroom and softer ones and less noisy air conditioning units
Location: Location fine to access main areas of Venice although quite a bit of graffiti in surrounding access areas.
On arrival we were met by very friendly helpful staff and told we had been upgraded ( we had booked a quadruple room for myself , husband and two teenagers) Although the room was adequate, clean and tidy , a double bed split into twins for the kids and us on the sofa bed with a bathroom in the middle - I was curious to know what we would have got without the upgrade. For the price paid we could have had a much more comfortable stay at the Hotel Saturnia where we had stayed previously and loved for only a small amount more !! But we thought we would try something different and feel that the photos were misleading and not the "boutique romantic hotel" as advertised .

Pros: A delightful surprise - an ancient palazzo, quite small, overlooking a quiet canal - positioned just round the corner from St Marks Square.
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing for Italy - industrial white bread rolls - coffee however was good. Staff helpful and charming.
Location: The hotel is situated in a quiet back street running along side a small canal. It is just 5 minutes walk from St. Marks Square.
When we arrived on New Years Eve at the Palazzo we were thrilled to have been upgraded to a suite with a separate sitting room. The room overlooked the small canal in a quiet back street, the room was clean, warm and comfortable. The hotel booked a river taxi to take us direct to the hotel - lovely stepping outside the hotel straight into a speed boat - took 20 minutes.

Terrific little hotelPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved this hotel, I would highly recommend it for a stay in Venice. It is in a great location, on the Arsenal side of St Marks square and in a not so busy area but only 5 minutes walk. The gents on reception were very helpful with restaurant suggestions that were close by and information generally. Our room was not huge but it was clean with a comfortable bed & modern bathroom and our room had a nice balcony lvl 3 "Canale". Photos are accurate. We would stay here again.

GREAT PLACE!!Posted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. They even made up breakfast bags for us when they learned we were leaving too early for their breakfast.
Location: San Marco is a five minute walk. The waterfront was nearby. We spent one day in Murano, which was arranged by the hotel.
After the bustle of Rome, this hotel was wonderful. Small, friendly, and very comfortable. We were close to St. Mark's Square, but far enough away to have some quiet.

Quiet, clean and comfortable lodging.Posted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: Very good place to stay in a quiet location, easy walking to just about anywhere you would want to go.The breakfast (included) is adequate to good.
Cons: They have wireless but will not allow use of their desktop computer, and the nearest internet cafe is 10-15 minutes away.
Location: Fine location in the Castello district, with lots of places to eat and shop. Five-minute walk to water transport.
A bit challenging to find the first time, but this is true for almost anyplace in Venice. The rooms are each quite different, so no way to tell what you will be getting but you can ask for anything. But they are all very clean and there is an elevator. Staff is very helpful. Beds are very good, and do not worry if you get two twins merged together to make a king as is often the case. Recommend Alilaguna rather than ACTV for transport to/from airport -- costs a bit more but no luggage charge like ACTV and fewer stops. Boat/bus combo costs more and takes longer, but with the bus you can avoid the very long luggage-dragging walk between airport and boat docks.

Quiet and charmingPosted Jul 15, 2013
Pros: Very quiet and well decorated
Cons: WI-FI connection experienced problems
Location: 4-5 walking minutes to the port and about 10 min to central place San Marco. So within minutes, you get close to all the action Venice has to offer.
Located near the greek Cathedral area, the hotel is about 10 walking minutes from Piazza San Marco. It is close to all the major sites, yet remote enough to procure a quiet night of sleep after a busy day. The personel is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is decorated with this charming renaissance touch. The only backdraw was an unreliable internet connection which would work perfectly at times, then shut down for hours. Besides that, we enjoyed our stay and found it's very good value for your money.

Charming, tucked away from tourist areaPosted Mar 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is lovely. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I received excellent restaurant recommendations from them. The hotel is tucked away from the tourist trips on the Grand Canal and the lagoon. It is in a quite neighborhood and has a few good restaurants very near by. Beware of the directions on the hotel's website! I was lost for an hour and a half trying to find the place upon my arrival. Just go a quick google map search to save yourself some energy. Enjoy this lovely hotel!

Elegant surroundings and very helpful and friendly staff. I was travelling on business, but the sites are close by - St Marks is five or ten minutes away.

Very nice room in great location.Posted Feb 4, 2013
Location: Picturesque (but then it is Venice) and convenient.
The hotel is a 15th century palazzo (palace). That's not all that unusual in Venice. It is well located (once you manage to find it in the maze of streets - unfortunately the directions provided on the website are not all that clear), only a few minutes from St Mark's Basilica and handy for the water bus. Breakfast is served in the rooms, which is a nice touch (don't expect a cooked breakfast, though - you're in Italy).

Beautiful hotel on the canalPosted Nov 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
Beautiful room on the top floor (Il Canale, with a balcony overlooking the canal). The manager was very friendly, and gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner (ae Spezie, literally right around the corner). Breakfast was simple and delicious, with great coffee. Everything is walkable from the hotel too. It made our little trip away really perfect! (Oh and wi-fi was not a problem, good signal and speed)
