Close to bus and trains

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: No
Location: Easy access. Drop your bags and follow the signs, halfway to Rialto stop for great coffee and pastries at bargain prices.
Checked in Saturday lunchtime for a two night stay. Main attraction for us was proximity to the bus stop as you don't want to be lugging suitcases through unknown streets when you first arrive. Great lobby and bar. The room carried the natural patina of many years of use, but not so much so that you feel let down. This is after all part of the natural appeal of this city. Linen, towels and fixtures all the class you would expect of a high level Accor hotel.

Pros: Convenient for transport links. Impressive Hotel and cheerful and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to canal boats, able to alight at the various stops to enjoy views, have a meal, a drink, take photo's and just enjoy !
Hotel convenient for airport buses and canal boats. Hotel situated away from the main tourist attractions, therefore quieter, cheaper restaurants etc.Though facilities at the hotel excellent. Good fun walking the narrow alleys and over the numerous bridges, great opportunities for photo's and enjoying the atmosphere of Venice and enjoying a refreshing 'venice spritzer' ! An enjoyable 2 day break.

Ideal für die Anreise mit dem Zug und den weiteren Urlaub in Venedig. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sensationell und lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Lovely Hotel next to taxis and trains .

Pros: The hotel is cental for land travel from the airport and perfect stop for closeness to the port for cruisers.
Cons: The electric sockets in the bedroom I could only find one that worked and that was in the bathroom .
Location: The location is ideal as prices are not as expensive as St marks square . Plenty of eateries ,and shopping within a 10 to 15 min walk .
We arrived early, and were most happy when our room was ready after a very early start . We were met at reception by a very pleasant young man who couldn't do enough for us . Our room was on the 5 th floor with a balcony and the views were stunning with the sound of ringing bells just perfect!!!... The room it's self was a little tired but was typically Venice and very clean. The bed had crisp white sheets and was very, very ,comfortable . Our overall stay ? Was very nice, and would recommend. It is about a 20 min walk to the Rialto Bridge, and a further 20 min walk to St Marks Square. A lovely start to the day with plenty to see on the way and great coffee stops .

Beautiful hotel, perfect location.

This hotel was beautiful in the pictures and even more so in person. When we walked in we were greeted with a view of the spectacular restaurant (eating here on your trip is a must) and a grand piano (on one of the nights there was someone in playing). All the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and could speak fluent English (which was helpful since my Italian leaves a lot to be desired) Only a short 2 minute walk from the bus (coach) station and many water bus stops it made travelling around the islands(Murano & Burano) extremely easy. It was also only a short 20 minute walk from San Marco square with loads of churches and sites along the way. We will be returning here next time we visit Venice.

Best short break ever!

Pros: Beautiful hotel, clean and well furnished. The staff were fabulous and made us feel really welcome for our first visit to Venice.
Cons: Nothing it is amazing.
Location: Near main bus terminal so convenient for airport transfer. Can walk to main attractions in 10 minutes or catch nearby waterbuses.
We spent three nights in this wonderful hotel on our first visit to Venice. The staff were amazing from check in to check out. It is really convenient for airport transfer being so close to main bus terminal and as soon as you walk out of the door you are really in Venice with bridges and gondolas around each corner. You can walk to the Rialto Bridge in 15 minutes or take the nearby waterbuses which are easy to navigate. We bought a travel card for the duration of the stay and this worked out cheaper but also enabled us to jump on and off Waterbuses as we wished and paid for travel to and from the airport - so a real bargain. There are some great Trattorias and Pizzerias within walking distance. We didn't eat in the hotel but breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Cocktails in the bar are averagely priced and served well.
