Mandatory Fees and Taxes

The following mandatory hotel-imposed fees are charged and collected by the hotel either at check-in or check-out.
- A tax is imposed by the city: EUR 2.5 per person, per night for guests 16 and older and EUR 1.25 per person, per night for guests aged 10-15 years old. This tax does not apply to residents of Venice City. Further exemptions may apply, subject to submission of proper documents to the property, to patients, their companions and people staying in the city for specific purposes/duties. The tax only applies to the first 5 nights of a stay, and is collected at the property in cash. 50% reduction applies for 2011: from 1 November to 4 December and 12 to 22 December and for 2012: from 9 January to 3 February, 23 February to 31 March, 1 November to 2 December and 10 to 22 December.

“Beautiful rooms, quiet location.”

We were very thankful that the owner was able to let us in to our room early, as our international flight arrived in the morning. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and the perfect size for a family of four, a rare find in any of the six Italian cities we visited. The candles lighting the staircase at night were picture-worthy. I will say that the location of our particular room was a bit noisy as it was across the hall from the area where they keep the service items and close to the reception area. Noise is the price you pay for those beautiful marble floors! Also, we were prepared for it, but do not ignore the notes about the many steps to get inside. We saw some travelers struggling with very large suitcases, not a good luggage choice for most places in Italy. There is also a great tiny sandwich shop as you leave the hotel on your right and down on the corner.

“Fantastic Apartments”

Residence apartment was outstanding. Absolutely best I've ever stayed in. Great location, 3 minute walk from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Highly recommend.... however, 84 narrow steps to the entrance, not advisable for older or disabled customers. Not in the "touristy center, but close to a major vaporetto hub at Piazzale Roma. Beautiful area of town, quiet with several nice trattorias and pizzarias just down the street. 20-25 minute walk from Piazza San Marco. Highly recommend these rooms/apartments.
