Would not recommend this hotel

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was nice.
Location: This hotel is NOT within walking distance to historic Siena!
The best thing about this hotel was the reception/common area and the breakfast. My husband and I stayed in a room on the second floor in the building which was separate from the main hotel. The first floor of the main building was nice - this is where breakfast is served and the reception is located. However, our room was awful. We are very picky about our hotel rooms and this one was a disaster. It was very outdated, the bathroom seemed to be an afterthought, the carpet was old and dirty (was never vacuumed during our three day stay), the bed was uncomfortable, the sheets and blankets were old, nothing was up to our standard. We joked that the best thing about the room was that the door locked!

Good location but a few disappointments

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Good location for exploring the main tourist spots in Venice. The staff were very helpful and gave us Prosecco when we were not happy about the room.
Cons: The rooms were tired, carpets were faded, shower was useless, toilet filled up at all the time (very annoying and loud), breakfast was disappointing
Location: Great location, about 30 seconds walk to the nearest Vaporetto stop, or a 10 minute walk to San Marco Square.
Upon arrival, the receptionist was excellent, told us lots of tips for cheap transport, where to go, how to get there, where to avoid etc, he helped a lot. The first night (of 3) was not so bad, but our toilet was not usable as it would not flush and kept filling up all night, which was quite loud and annoying after a while. The hook in the shower to hang up the shower head did not fit the shower head in it, and so we had to hold the shower head when we showered, which was also not a major fault but a bit annoying. When we came back to the hotel the next afternoon after being out all day, we found hundreds of ants on the carpet in the middle of the floor, all gathering round something that the maid must have dropped (we had no food in the room). This was cleaned up with a cloth and some 'Raid' but left a mark and wasn't exactly ideal. The toilet had been repaired in so far as it now flushed but still filled up all the time which was still noisy so we decided to ask to move rooms. We couldn't move rooms that night as it was fully booked, but as well as an apology we were given a bottle of Prosecco to say sorry and we moved rooms the next night. The 3rd night was fine, we had the top floor room with the terrace and it was lovely, no complaints. We considered many hotels in Venice and chose this one despite it being a little more expensive than most others. For that reason we were pretty disappointed in our choice and what we got for our money, but maybe we were just unlucky.

Cute and cozy hotel on the Grand Canal

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Great value for a beautiful cozy room with a great view!
Cons: For what it is, nothing! Just keep in mind like most hotels in Venice, a king size bed is composed of two twins that aren't very soft.
Location: Walkable to anywhere on the main island, especially St. Mark's Square! :)
This hotel was the first stop of my honeymoon with my wife, and we had a great experience. The rooms are beautiful inside and the views of the Grand Canal are great. The location is also very convenient and relatively close to the public (water) transit and to St. Mark's Square. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

A charming 3 star that lives up to its name

We quite liked everything about our 4 nights stay at Tribute to Music. All positives to report here – front staff was nice and knowledgable, rooms were clean and compact, location is decent as it is 5 mins from the Arsenale water bus stop and finally, internet worked well. Air conditioning cooled nicely. Breakfast area is a little bit cramped but the first floor attendant’s smile more than made up for any lack of space. We were put up in room 101 which had a courtyard view. 102 and 103 had sea view. The courtyard behind was an absolute beauty – very peaceful and serene to take a break after a full day of running around.

Cons: Lagoon view rooms can be a little noisy from the restaurant below.
An excellent hotel to stay at - loved the location, room, and the area. The room was extremely spacious and clean.

Great location. Ok hotel

This hotel looks better in the pictures than it really is. The rooms are tiny. Just the bed really. Maybe that's how all hotels are in Venice. I'm not sure but we weren't blown away. It did overlook a great little courtyard and the location can't be beat! Right on the canal. The breakfast was good. Service was good. I wouldn't stay here again though. I think we could have done better for the amount of money.

Close to the must-see sights

Hotel is in a great location overlooking the canal. However, I thought the price was too high for this hotel. Except for the location and the helpfulness of the desk clerks, is was nothing special.
