Good value, off the beaten path in Venice

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: It was apparent that the management was making an effort to provide good hospitality and a professional environment. That was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: The wifi requires constant manual login upon exiting and re-entering the property. New carpets and wall coverings should be on the to-do list.
Location: 3 short blocks to the Ca' D'Oro Vaporetto stop. Great meal at Vecia Cavana about 8 blocks away. Good pizza, shopping, people watching near Strada Nova
The rates are reasonable, the staff is very professional, the "Double room with 1 Extra bed" is a great size room, and the included breakfast is quite nice. Factor in a little extra time to get around, since Cannaregio is 30 minutes away from St Mark's by Vaporetto Line 1, or 20+ minutes walking. On the plus side, it's closer to the Santa Lucia train station, the Venice Marco Polo airport, and the Alilaguna water bus for an easy arrival and departure from the city. Stay on floor 2 or 3 for taller ceilings. The linens are clean and the bathrooms are newly done, but the older furniture, wall coverings, and faint but persistent cigarette odor give the rooms a bit of a musty feel. UNA Venezia is part of a chain of about 15 boutique hotel properties in Italy.

Beautiful Venitian Hotel

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: complimetary snacks and drinks from lunch time until late at night. the location is brilliant too!!!
Cons: Maybe a little outside seating area as the weather was beautiful and there was no where outside to sit
Location: 200 metres from a main street that has bars and shops and restuarants.
Arrived by water taxi straight to the Hotel. Looks run down from the outside, but as soon as you step into the reception, it is lovely inside and the rroms are beautiful.

Lovely Hotel

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: While it was convenient to all the popular sites it was also tucked away from the crowds.
Cons: If it is your first visit to Venice I would recommend taking a water taxi directly to the hotel.
Location: We particularly enjoyed the convenience to: market district, gondola rides, and dinner along the less populated Fondamente Nove.
UNA Hotel Venezia was perfect for our first visit to Venice. The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated. The rooms were clean and decorated with the character of Venice. The location was perfect, an easy walk to San Marco's Square but also convenient to a less populated district on the other side of the lagoon. Breakfast and afternoon snacks with wine were complimentary.

zentral und doch ruhig

Posted Jun 15, 2015
