Fantastic luxuriously appointed hotelPosted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: Absolutely everything
Cons: Nothing, it's absolutely perfect
Location: Good central location in the north, easy walking distance to everything, with Water Buses within 5 minutes short walk to either the North or South.
Fantastic luxurious hotel, very well appointed rooms, it's decor, ambience and staff, in very quaint surroundings, with easy access to all of the water buses and everything else Venice has to offer. They even re-made your bed when you went out in the evening, leaving a chocolate on your pillow. Don't miss the hotels 'extra' treats, where from 14:30-22:30 there is free coffee, tea, fruit juice, water, fruit, cakes, crisps and peanuts, and what a bonus, 18:30-20:30, there is also delicious finger sandwiches and white wine to die for. Absolutely a perfect choice for our first and perfect long weekend in paradise, oops, Venice. It was my partner's 50th Birthday, and one trip we will never forget. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. Thank you Una Hotel Venezia, keep it up.

Wonderful holidayPosted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: The staff and the complimentary afternoon buffet. We had never had a complimentary buffet before, and we have stayed in some great hotels.
Cons: Only the noise from the front entrance door in room 103. I have trouble sleeping when i am away and it did disturb me a little at night.
Location: Suited us very well, quieter than being nearer to the grand canal. minutes away from all the sites, great spot.
We stayed at the UNA hotel for our 40th anniversary, a very special time for us and we were not disappointed. We were greeted well on our arrival and could not fault the staff, they were wonderful. In the afternoon we had complimentary tea, coffee, wine and buffet food. This was so pleasing after a day walking and sight seeing in Venice. The only issue we had was that our room was over the entrance door and we could here the doors opening and closing (room 103) only an issue at night when people were arriving and leaving the hotel. But this did not take away any of the enjoyment we had staying there. The room was cleaned and decorated to a high standard, and chocolates put on our pillows at night, little touches that made us feel welcome. Thank you to all the staff at the UNA hotel, we would return.

Great place to stay away from the crowds.Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Its position, ambiance and staff.
Cons: Free WiFi would be nice.
Location: Good eating in the vicinity at reasonable prices.
From the warm welcome on arrival we had high expectations for our stay. We spent four nights at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The standard double room was quite adequate for our purposes and as it included a sofa and two easy chairs there was no feeling of claustrophobia. Breakfast covered a wide range of options including scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, as well as continental meats and cheeses, juices, fresh fruit, yogurts, muesli, pastries and breads. If this was not enough there was the possibility to have a personal breakfast cooked for a supplement of €8: Later in the day there was a free buffet of pastries, cakes and sandwiches, tea, coffee , and soft drinks, with free wine available between 6 and 8 pm. This was a most welcome facility that was useful when attending a concert for the evening rather than seeking to spend time eating out. Our room also featured a safe and if there is a criticism it would be the charge for WiFi, but that can be accessed free in bars or cafes. We were after a quiet location away from the main tourist area but it was easy to walk everywhere from here. Tidal flooding outside the hotel entrance can occur but this is really not an issue once one acquires a pair of €10 over boots. You will need these for elsewhere in Venice if you happen to be there when tides are high. The hotel had a useful tide height guide on the desk at reception.

Bellissimo Weekend Veneziano...Posted Dec 11, 2014

good locationPosted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: every afternoon there is free drinks and food to eat ,not found that in hotel.
Cons: nothing really everything was very good.
Location: near centre of town , we walked there about 5 minute walk. plenty of shops if you like shopping,
very easy to get to by taxi, room quite big ,staff very helpful, and ,kettle for tea in room, changed pillow every night to a different kind. High tide in morning and when we left manager gave us black bags to put on our feet as water was 12inches high.we looked funny but it helped.

Great locationPosted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: The quiet location and the fact that we had complimentary tea, coffee and food in the afternoons.
Cons: We couldn't fault it.
Location: Everything is walkable: shops, restaurants and sights, yet it is very quiet, which is important to us, especially at night.
We found the hotel easily from the Alilaguna stop and it was about an 8 minute walk. The location is quiet and peaceful yet only a few minutes walk to the bustle of Strada Nuova.

Elegant Hotel with Evening Wine and SnacksPosted Nov 8, 2014
Cons: I don't know if all the rooms were like this, but we had to climb over the bidet in order to get to the toilet in our room (a little tricky at night).
The rooms at the UNA Hotel Venezia were beautifully decorated and we had a window opening directly on the canal. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and offered hot items in addition to the typical European breakfast items (croissants, fruit, yogurt, etc.). We also enjoyed the evening buffet which offered wine and light snacks. The hotel is located just off the Strada Nuova, so it was easy to get around on foot.

Quiet hotel away from the crowdsPosted Nov 8, 2014
Quiet yet accessible. Staff very helpful and attentive and we had a lovely room. The breakfasts were very good and being able to have tea in the afternoons, and a glass of wine later on, was an added bonus.
