“Charming hotel”
The hotel was lovely and located on a quiet canal that was within easy walking distance of a water bus or key sites. The restoration of this old building was done quite well and the rooms were well decorated and clean. The only downside was the lack of flat services in the room, particularly the bathrooom to lay down belongings. This made the room lovely to look at but not as functional as it could have been. Overall, I did enjoy my stay here and would recommend the hotel.
“Good place to stay”
Very good place to stay and convenience location, good breakfast. Only fell little expensive for that small hotel.
“A way from the action: long exhausting walks”
Too far from the main sites. Exhausting walks to the main attractions. Others have said it is a quiet place but you can find quiet hotels near the main sites. Our site was an old man and old woman in a bathroom across to the next building. Plus: rooms big and great breakfast! Neighborhood shuts down at night. Staff very friendly.
“Nice Hotel, "OK" location”
The rooms are a good size, the beds do not pull apart, and you do receive a complimentary breakfast in the morning. I'm not sure if I would stay in the hotel again, but if you are on a budget and do not mind walking, it's a good place to stay! Bring a compass you're going to need it!
“Venice”
The hotel was easy to find by map. We decided to walk and save money by not taking the water taxi. However, the room is definitely not what the pictures on expedia.com had posted. The room was up in the attic and quite tiny. we were also expecting to have our window looking out to the canal, but it was a ditch we had a view of. Staff was a bit unfriendly. They explaing everything, but were not approachable. The walk to St. Marks square was a bit crowded, but what do you expect during the highest tourist month of August? I had a blas in Venice, but would definitely look for another hotel next time.
“an out of the way hotel”
hotel typically European in size but definitely out of the way. water taxi left us off a few hundred yards from hotel which was accessible by same taxi. we tried to use a small fan for white noise but it blew the circuitry. problem fixed but how old is circuitry not to handle a fan? you need a gps to find hotel which you can't tell is a hotel standing in front of it. well away from Grand Canal. would chose another.
“Charming Boutique Hotel”
Hotel was lovely and very comfortable. Located in a residential neighborhood making it difficult to find. To avoid this problem, prior to travel, contact hotel and get specific directions how to get to it by water taxi. It is also walkable from St. Mark's Square. Buffet breakfast was delightful. Staff were very accommodating. (Received an upgraded room upon arrival.)
“Really nice hotel”
The Una Hotel is tucked away at a distance from the tourist center. My wife and I found it to be very pleasant (A room on the first floor with little floor space, a big bed, and nice amenities.). The staff at the hotel were particularly nice. For example, they led us to several 'local' restaurants out-of-the-way of most tourists.
“Canoreggio, Venice”
Very nice hotel in the best section of Venice away from the day tourist mob.
“No hot water, poorly functioning air conditioning”
I realize that Venice is likely the most expensive place to stay in Europe, but for the high price, this hotel was a big disappointment. The air conditioner made a feeble attempt to produce cool air but the temperature in our room never went down. It was uncomfortably warm for sleeping and it was too stinky outside to open the windows. Then, there was no hot water for a shower at 7am. The hotel itself is very nice, as is the staff. Everyone is English speaking and helpful. However, I would never go back to this hotel for the above reasons.
