"Excellent location! 10 steps to Piazza San Marco."
Very clean, best shower ever, QUIET, Best location...literally just steps to the main square. It was great to stay very late at Piazza San Marco and then wake up early and see it empty. You can do this because you're literally just steps away, but you feel far away when you are in your clean quiet room. I would definitely stay here again. The only downside was finding it. It's a tiny door just right across from the post office ATM in between the stores. Tiny sign for the name next to the doorbell. + air conditioned, free wifi.

"Lovely Hotel"
We were in Venice from the 10th to 12th March 2014. I found this hotel online and the rooms looked really nice from the photos. I've not been to Venice before and I was pleasantly surprised how lovely they were. The staff were very helpful and the main hotel where you had your breakfast was clean and inviting. These rooms are separate to the main hotel and are literally 30 seconds away. There is a small supermarket opposite, so keep your windows shut at night unless you want to get woken up early with the deliveries, although this isn't really a problem. I would definitely come back to this hotel and recommend it for a short city break. The breakfast had the normal cold ham, cheese, fresh fruit, coffees and juice, lots of croissants and various cakes, as well as hot scrambled eggs, sausages and bubble and squeak fritters which was a great way to set you up for the day.

"Even Better with "Age""
This hotel is very well located relative to sites and transportation. (Rioalta is well situated for outer islands never mind local venues. The staff was excellent especially after we got scammed at Roma Tribitina (as a Canadian, I will never try to help another person posed as a tourist in any other country -- especially Italy if we go there again.) Friendly and supportive to allow us to continue on with our Holiday which had just begun we appreciated their support. Their breakfast is one of the best for the range of value we wanted for our accomodation. WiFi support was great since Italian is not our native Language.

"Beautiful Hotel Wonderful View of Venice"
This hotel was our first of 5 different cities and stops in our trip to Italy and I am so glad I chose it, since our first impression about Italy was just wonderful Our stay was just fabulous. The location is perfect, quiet and away from the noisy crowded areas of San Marco. Friendly and very, very polite staff, clean room, amazing breakfast with a huge variety of cold cuts, cheeses, fresh tomatoes, coffee, scrambled eggs, a fountain of yogurts, fresh fruit juices, with different kinds of cereals and jams. Fresh bread and pastries. I will stay in this place again if I come back to Venice.

"Hotel al Nuovo Teson in Venice"
This lovely little hotel is in a superb location, a few steps from the waterfront where the boats and water taxis arrive. It is a 5 minute walk to Piazza San Marco, the most visited site in Venice. The hotel was completely renovated over the past winter so all the rooms are new. The staff were very helpful and they all spoke English. The breakfast buffet was always good, and completely adequate. The bathrooms are a bit small but totally functional. We received a very good price by booking through Expedia.

"Fantastic Place to stay"
We had such a wonderful experience at The Park Hotel Junior. The room was ready when we arrived and super clean. We were very exhausted from our trip and it was great to be able to check in with ease and be able to go to our room. I was very happy with the breakfast choices and the beautiful setting to eat our breakfast. The water pressure for the shower was spectacular, the best I have ever had at a hotel anywhere! We were able to purchase train tickets from the hotel to get into Venice and the shuttle to the train station was great! The grounds were well maintained and very pretty. The quick walk to the restaurant was an added bonus. We had a great meal and wonderful service, though my 9 year old was shocked that dinner was 3 hours. I loved it!! A very generous portion of wine was just what I needed :) We did leave some items in the room and they are graciously sending them back to us at no cost! What service! I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel.

    Venice Hotel Guide

Venice is known by a number of nicknames: the city of water, the city of bridges, queen of the Adriatic, and the city of light. This range of names points to the difficulty of trying to capture the intangible quality of this most unique of cities you can discover during your Venice vacation. Indeed, Venice has been performing something of a magic trick for well over a millennium: built on 118 tiny islands, with a marshy lagoon as its base, the city has managed to defy gravity for more than a thousand years.

    Classic highlights

Even if you haven't visited Venice, you've probably already seen images of its classic highlights: gondolas on the Grand Canal, the gothic Doge's Palace, and the pigeons on St Marks Square. You can rest assured that the reality of these places is every bit as majestic as the postcard pictures make them out to be. Book your flights to Venice and discover the majestic impact this city has on its visitors.

More than just a series of famous snapshots, however, Venice is a mesmerizing, mysterious city laced with hints of melancholy with so many things to do in Venice. Once a major maritime power, Venice continues to survive largely because of the tourist trade, with the number of actual residents dwindling year after year. Ever-increasing flooding wreaks havoc on architecture, while the summer's heat can make the city feel almost swamp-like. Decadent palaces stand next to decaying houses, glorious restoration next to gloomy ruin, making the city nothing short of a floating museum - but in many ways this is also its barrier to modernization.

    Mix of contrasts

This profound mix of contrasts makes Venice a fascinating destination. As it struggles to find a balance between preserving the rich cultural heritage on which it depends and carving out an identity as a still-living city in the 21st century, Venice remains one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Book your Venice hotels and find your perfect place to discover the mix of contrasts; whether you stay at a Venice resort or hotel during your stay, you are bound to find cheap hotel deals in Venice. Stay at hotels in Venice, Italy and discover what the city has to offer beyond what your guide book tells you. The reputations of the signature tourist 'musts' are well deserved, but the discoveries you make by getting lost in Venice's winding streets and canals are equally rewarding. Exploring your extraordinary surroundings is sure to make you sigh in disbelief. One of Venice's most famous bridges, in fact - just one of over 400 bridges connecting Venice's islands - is called the Bridge of Sighs. And just as you’ve had enough of the city you can discover the outskirts by getting a rental car in Venice or by enjoying a getaway on one of the cruises from Venice.

    Artists' inspiration

Even the light in Venice is different; the reflection off the water has provided inspiration for many artists. The Accademia Gallery holds several Venetian masterpieces, and you'll notice the play of light in many of its painting. The unusual light is far from being the city's only special quality. Visit during Carnevale and you'll see a glamour you thought no longer existed. Also well worth a visit is Venice Biennale, Europe's classiest international forum for contemporary art.

Cars aren't allowed in Venice, so you'll get to know the city by walking or riding vaporetti (public water buses - an alternative to the more expensive water taxis or gondolas, although it's worth splashing for a romantic evening out). Venice is notoriously crowded (and expensive), but people come for good reason. There is no other city like it in the world - its culture and canals, basilicas and bridges continue to leave visitors marveling. Despite its uncertain future, Venice hasn't lost its magic. Book your Venice Italy hotels so the city can cast its spell on you, too.
