"Nice hotel, close to train station"
Excellent staff, great accommodations, excellent breakfast (you didn't lack for anything). The room was very quiet, bathroom was very nice. Would highly recommend this hotel, for the money, i would rather stay there as the other hotel was less expensive but the Bellini was by far the best value for the money.

"Superb Location for exploring Venice"
First and foremost the best thing about this hotel is the location. Situated directly next to the Rialto Bridge you're in the perfect location for exploring every part of the city in every location. It's a 30 second walk to the water bus. And a few minutes from the opera house and a couple of theatres. The hotel staff were very efficient and check in and out were smooth. Breakfast each morning included the nicest smoothest coffee I've ever had. The room itself was a little cramped. But it was clean throughout and the decor made us feel as if we were in the an 18th century palace. There was also a panoramic terrace which overlooks the canal and offers a pleasant view of the Rialto Bridge.

"fantastic location"
Large room over looking the canal, floods made interesting viewing. If going this time of year take your welly boots or be prepared to buy some. canal levels go up by 6 foot and water across paths, piazza and hotel reception. life continues regardless and water subsides after couple of hours. Breakfast room over looking canal, plenty of choice, cereal, bacon and omelette, cold meats and cheese, bread and fruit. Hotel spotlessly clean, clean towels and toiletries. Would go back again and recommend.

"Nice hotel close to bus and train stations"
Arlecchino is well located, close to bus, waterbus and train stations. Mobility is not a problem, although the hotel is not in a busy area like San Marco and Rialto bridge. The staff provided excellent services, the room is as expected. Small but clean and have a good view to the canal. I would recommend the hotel to other travelers who are looking for a nice, affordable and quiet hotel.

"Fantastic Location"
Arrived late due to a flight delay but a swift check in and straight out to eat... Room was a little noisy but we got moved with no problems the next day. (noise was from outside the Hotel) Have read reviews that this hotel is "dated"... well it's a very old building in an ancient City, the decor is perfect for the setting and the room was spotless! Special mention for Martina... new but very eager to please and learn! As Hotel owners, we know the difficulty in finding good staff... the Concordia has done a superb job............

    Where to stay in Venice

    Your Guide to Venice Hotels

Venice is known by a number of nicknames: the city of water, the city of bridges, queen of the Adriatic, and the city of light. This range of names points to the difficulty of trying to capture the intangible quality of this most unique of cities you can discover during your Venice vacation. Indeed, Venice has been performing something of a magic trick for well over a millennium: built on 118 tiny islands, with a marshy lagoon as its base, the city has managed to defy gravity for more than a thousand years.

    Classic highlights

Even if you haven't visited Venice, you've probably already seen images of its classic highlights: gondolas on the Grand Canal, the gothic Doge's Palace, and the pigeons on St Marks Square. You can rest assured that the reality of these places is every bit as majestic as the postcard pictures make them out to be. Book your flights to Venice and discover the majestic impact this city has on its visitors.

More than just a series of famous snapshots, however, Venice is a mesmerizing, mysterious city laced with hints of melancholy with so many things to do in Venice. Once a major maritime power, Venice continues to survive largely because of the tourist trade, with the number of actual residents dwindling year after year. Ever-increasing flooding wreaks havoc on architecture, while the summer's heat can make the city feel almost swamp-like. Decadent palaces stand next to decaying houses, glorious restoration next to gloomy ruin, making the city nothing short of a floating museum - but in many ways this is also its barrier to modernization.

    Mix of contrasts

This profound mix of contrasts makes Venice a fascinating destination. As it struggles to find a balance between preserving the rich cultural heritage on which it depends and carving out an identity as a still-living city in the 21st century, Venice remains one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Book your Venice hotels and find your perfect place to discover the mix of contrasts; whether you stay at a Venice resort or hotel during your stay, you are bound to find cheap hotel deals in Venice. Stay at hotels in Venice, Italy and discover what the city has to offer beyond what your guide book tells you. The reputations of the signature tourist 'musts' are well deserved, but the discoveries you make by getting lost in Venice's winding streets and canals are equally rewarding. Exploring your extraordinary surroundings is sure to make you sigh in disbelief. One of Venice's most famous bridges, in fact - just one of over 400 bridges connecting Venice's islands - is called the Bridge of Sighs. And just as you’ve had enough of the city you can discover the outskirts by getting a rental car in Venice or by enjoying a getaway on one of the cruises from Venice.

    Artists' inspiration

Even the light in Venice is different; the reflection off the water has provided inspiration for many artists. The Accademia Gallery holds several Venetian masterpieces, and you'll notice the play of light in many of its painting. The unusual light is far from being the city's only special quality. Visit during Carnevale and you'll see a glamour you thought no longer existed. Also well worth a visit is Venice Biennale, Europe's classiest international forum for contemporary art.

Cars aren't allowed in Venice, so you'll get to know the city by walking or riding vaporetti (public water buses - an alternative to the more expensive water taxis or gondolas, although it's worth splashing for a romantic evening out). Venice is notoriously crowded (and expensive), but people come for good reason. There is no other city like it in the world - its culture and canals, basilicas and bridges continue to leave visitors marveling. Despite its uncertain future, Venice hasn't lost its magic. Book your Venice Italy hotels so the city can cast its spell on you, too.
