"Easy to find, easy to enjoy"
We were very apprehensive when reading reviews on how hard it is to find hotels etc. We were pleasantly surprised when our taxi dropped us off and pointed directly to our hotel, easy, easy, easy to find. The gentleman that waited on us at the hotel was very helpful and knowledgeable. He may come off as a little intense at first but that is what makes him enjoyable. He is nothing but helpful. We only stayed one night due to our itinerary but if we could have stayed more that would have been nice. We would certainly stay here again. Thank you.

"Where boutique means more than small."
A boutique means a small shop selling luxury items. Most "boutiques" I've stayed in have been small but NOT luxurious. The Aqua Palace truly lives up to the name, boutique, because it's product is indeed luxurious. We were met at piazza Roma by a guide who helped us with a luggage into a waiting water taxi. On the journey to the hotel she filled us in on the best events and eating places in Venice. The reception staff were warm and friendly and, Sylvia, the waitress in charge of the breakfast room treated us like family. The junior suite was large and comfortable and we discovered that the best place to have a cocktail served before dinner was by sitting in the water gate alcove watching the gondolas float by. Although there is not a bar as such the staff will serve you any hot drinks or spirits any time day or night. The position is perfect, 10 minutes either way to St Marks Sq or the ponte Rialto. One additional surprise was to discover they offered a water taxi and guide to the glass works on Murano as a complementary service. Return to Marco Polo airport was equally smooth and cost a reasonable 110 Euros. We are still enjoying the afterglow of our stay in Venice the only downside was the tsunami of visitors between 10.00-17.00 but walking back from concerts after 22.00 showed Venice at its best.

"Convenience in Venice"
Close to railway and bus stations, water taxis and restaurants. VERY friendly and helpful staff. Large clean room, and bathroom. No elevator , and we stayed on the 4th floor, but we were aware of the fact that there wasn't an elevator from reading reviews. They had bag storage available, but not locked bag storage, so we discovered that this was a difference from North American standards. There was A/C, but don't expect freezing conditions from any Italian hotel air conditioner, and it was very quiet at night. Comfortable beds too!

"Nice Hotel in Great Location"
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very close to the airport - less than a 5 minute drive on their free shuttle bus. The front desk staff were quite friendly, helpful and answered our questions. They had a full breakfast with bacon, scrambled eggs, fruits, cheeses, yogurt, breads, cereal and juices. We had a standard room and it was spacious for two people with a large bathroom. There was an excellent restaurant about 1/2 a block away and we received free drink coupon for the restaurant from the front desk staff. Overall our stay was enjoyable and would definitely stay here again.

    Where to stay in Venice

    Your Guide to Venice Hotels

Venice is known by a number of nicknames: the city of water, the city of bridges, queen of the Adriatic, and the city of light. This range of names points to the difficulty of trying to capture the intangible quality of this most unique of cities you can discover during your Venice vacation. Indeed, Venice has been performing something of a magic trick for well over a millennium: built on 118 tiny islands, with a marshy lagoon as its base, the city has managed to defy gravity for more than a thousand years.

    Classic highlights

Even if you haven't visited Venice, you've probably already seen images of its classic highlights: gondolas on the Grand Canal, the gothic Doge's Palace, and the pigeons on St Marks Square. You can rest assured that the reality of these places is every bit as majestic as the postcard pictures make them out to be. Book your flights to Venice and discover the majestic impact this city has on its visitors.

More than just a series of famous snapshots, however, Venice is a mesmerizing, mysterious city laced with hints of melancholy with so many things to do in Venice. Once a major maritime power, Venice continues to survive largely because of the tourist trade, with the number of actual residents dwindling year after year. Ever-increasing flooding wreaks havoc on architecture, while the summer's heat can make the city feel almost swamp-like. Decadent palaces stand next to decaying houses, glorious restoration next to gloomy ruin, making the city nothing short of a floating museum - but in many ways this is also its barrier to modernization.

    Mix of contrasts

This profound mix of contrasts makes Venice a fascinating destination. As it struggles to find a balance between preserving the rich cultural heritage on which it depends and carving out an identity as a still-living city in the 21st century, Venice remains one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Book your Venice hotels and find your perfect place to discover the mix of contrasts; whether you stay at a Venice resort or hotel during your stay, you are bound to find cheap hotel deals in Venice. Stay at hotels in Venice, Italy and discover what the city has to offer beyond what your guide book tells you. The reputations of the signature tourist 'musts' are well deserved, but the discoveries you make by getting lost in Venice's winding streets and canals are equally rewarding. Exploring your extraordinary surroundings is sure to make you sigh in disbelief. One of Venice's most famous bridges, in fact - just one of over 400 bridges connecting Venice's islands - is called the Bridge of Sighs. And just as you’ve had enough of the city you can discover the outskirts by getting a rental car in Venice or by enjoying a getaway on one of the cruises from Venice.

    Artists' inspiration

Even the light in Venice is different; the reflection off the water has provided inspiration for many artists. The Accademia Gallery holds several Venetian masterpieces, and you'll notice the play of light in many of its painting. The unusual light is far from being the city's only special quality. Visit during Carnevale and you'll see a glamour you thought no longer existed. Also well worth a visit is Venice Biennale, Europe's classiest international forum for contemporary art.

Cars aren't allowed in Venice, so you'll get to know the city by walking or riding vaporetti (public water buses - an alternative to the more expensive water taxis or gondolas, although it's worth splashing for a romantic evening out). Venice is notoriously crowded (and expensive), but people come for good reason. There is no other city like it in the world - its culture and canals, basilicas and bridges continue to leave visitors marveling. Despite its uncertain future, Venice hasn't lost its magic. Book your Venice Italy hotels so the city can cast its spell on you, too.
