Bring Your Conformation Printout With You!!Posted Jul 28, 2014
Cons: A better system for checking people in.
We booked this hotel back in March for the end of July. I had confirmation for our booking through e-mails from Expedia and since I can pull up my e-mail on my phone I did not print out a hard copy. We arrived at the hotel on a Friday night at about 9:45pm and you have to be buzzed into an office that is very small and has a glass plated window which I found odd since it seemed to be in a decent area. We told the man we were checking in and he said I don't have anymore check in tonight. He showed us a stack of print outs that were all of his check in and we were not there. He would not look at his computer and insisted that we were not reserved and then when we said we did reservation through Expedia he said that reservation was cancelled and they don't work with Expedia. We were dumbfounded because I did not call to cancel and why would we be standing there if we had cancelled? FINALLY after going back and forth with him he turned on his computer to look and found the reservation!!! BUT...he gave our room to someone else so he put us in one room for one night and then changed us to the other room for the next night. For that reason I am giving them a low score. Both rooms were pretty nice...they were clean and looked like the had been well maintained, but neither had an ironing board which was a little odd, but they did give us one when we asked. It was also in a quiet area so it was nice to not hear traffic etc.

Convenient, clean and affordable.Posted Jul 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
I got my money's worth at this motel. It did not have some things other motels have, but it was clean, friendly and convenient for the places we wanted to see.

Nice convenient locationPosted Jun 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Location was great, the room was clean, but smaller than expected. I liked having a microwave and refrig in the room, no coffee maker. (we always travel with our own :-) I would recommend this hotel, its a nice area. plus its close to Channel Islands, Ventrua/Santa Barbara!

Rudest owner ever!Posted Jun 15, 2014
This hotel does not disclose a lot of info, for instance, they charge $5.00 for wifi and you cannot have any guest what so ever OR THEY CHARGE! The room smelled like dusty old linens. Worst of all the kindness and hospitality was horrible. The owner is was a complete jerk. Will never stay there again.

Not a great areaPosted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
The owners were really nice and the room was exactly how they look on the images and to be fair, for the money it's ideal if you need somewhere to crash for the night. Just to make you aware, the location is awful. There are a few supermarkets (Spanish) and a Taco Bell and is located next to an army base. It's a bizarre area to be honest. If you're looking for a hotel with places to go in the evening then this is not for you but is good value for money if you just want to crash for the night

Good solid placePosted May 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Large room with windows that opened (always a plus for us). Quite inexpensive, so good for the price. Room could have been cleaner and in better repair, but again, good for the price.

Lobby needs to ring bell for access. Staff untrained, room small, towels insufficient. Location horrible. Good bed though, really good
