Decent place, rude staff.

Posted Dec 6, 2014
I stayed at the clock tower for 4 nights. The hotel is in decent shape with a close proximity to downtown. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately the cleaning service forgot to straighten my room one day and when I returned I called the desk to alert them to the fact and to not complain but to request clean towels be brought to the room since they had been taken and not replaced. The woman was so rude and literally acted as it was my fault. Completely rude and unapologetic. One of the older gentleman who worked at the desk and who was probably the owner was a complete jerk as well. But to be fair there were a couple employees, the groundskeeper in particular was very pleasant. All in all the staff needs an attitude adjustment.

Very inexpensive, but don't expect anything fancy. I little on the dingy side, even if a good deal.

A little piece of paradise to Main St., Ventura

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Location is great for downtown Ventura.
Cons: TV wasn't working. Our first room didn't have any lock to the patio or knobs on the air conditioning unit. (Room 217)
Location: Location is great for thrift stores on Main Street. We had a lovely lunch very close to hotel. It is really close to pier and beach for walking.
We have stayed here before. Our first room didn't have a lock on door to patio or knobs for air conditioner. They transferred us to a downstairs room that was fine. However, when we arrived really late, the TV wasn't working. They offered to come and fix it at 11 pm but I said no..too late. We never did have any tv. The breakfast was fine and has a beautiful setting, especially with rain. Overall, this room was bigger than the last time we stayed here. It is a great location if you want to walk Main Street and shop.

Great central location to shops and restaurants.

The Clocktower has seen better days though some of the old charm still shines through. The balcony rooms are better. Had some noisy drunk neighbors very late at night.

Central to Main Street Shopping and Dining

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Central location.
Cons: The entire facility needs a face lift.
Location: Fabulous dining, shopping and beach going.
The Clock Tower Inn was recommended by friends and family although it had been many years since they stayed there. We were disappointed. We booked a balcony room via Expedia but were given a non-balcony room with a TV that did not work and an AC unit that was inoperative as well. The Clock Tower Inn has seen better days. It appears tired and run down but does hint at the quaint Inn it once was. Now that we know what to expect we will stay there again, hopefully with a fully functional balcony room. The Clock Tower Inn is centrally located in the Main Street shopping and dining area of Ventura and is just a short walk to fabulous restaurants and shopping with the beach a few blocks away. The towels were very nice and there was plenty of hot water!

My wife and i were very happy with our stay.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: This hotel was very cozy and very clean.
Cons: When we used the plumbing it was overflowing. but my husband took the plugs out and the sink and the tub were not overflowing anymore.
Location: The location was perfect. the wedding, the reception, and the rehearsal dinner we were attending was right behind the hotel, it was perfect.
Our experience with this hotel was very nice. the reception we got was very warm and happy. Jessica was her name; very kind and welcomed us, with a very nice and happy smile, that made us fill special. You have a wonderful employee working for you.

Pros: jacuzzi and breakfast
Cons: linens and mattresses
Location: surfed at c-street, nice downtown bars and restaurants
Nice location, needed new linens and maybe better mattresses? The wifi signal was pretty weak. Overall good room for the price and location.
