I spent just one night there, and that was enough. The bathroom sink was so slow draining it filled up with water just while I was washing my face. The bathroom floor was dirty and had hair on it (that wasn’t mine.) I was awoken multiple times throughout the night by the bathroom light randomly turning on. And at 6:23 am, the alarm clock went off. I was hoping for a good night’s sleep, but this was obviously not the place to get it.

Bed is cozy, room has good black out style curtains and it’s in a nice area by the movie theatre. I didn’t like being charged $12 to park my car is a basic parking lot. That is definitely a scam to add that to the bill. Otherwise though it was a good experience. Staff could be friendlier for sure at the front desk.

The $12 fee for parking is ridiculous, it is literally in a shopping center. Went to the front for coffee in the morning and was told they do not have coffee for guests. We were only there for about 12 hours, just enough to get some rest so I can’t comment on the overall cleanliness of the area. We were assigned the handicap room and the tub could use some attention but the room was clean enough.

The hotel was clean and the front desk staff was pleasant. The room was very clean. The hotel promises breakfast, they did not have breakfast!! The front desk stated that the employee in charge of breakfast service did not show up. So nobody took charge to cover her work and let the hotel guests down.

When we first entered the room it smelled like sardines! This was very unusual . . . . the many times we booked there at Sonesta, it was never like this. The tub had a ring around it. We would expect better treatment next time we stay at your facility. It is so convenient to stay there the 3-4 times a year when my husband has to perform up the street at Leisure Village. Hope next time is better! The gentleman from the Front Desk sprayed the carpet, but to no avail . . . . it still stank!

I asked for a room on the first floor I explained my mom is disabled and the representative was understanding. There was one room left on the first floor. It came with shower rails and the shower was a walk in. It was a nice experience … thank you staff and cleaning crew

I have stayed at this location for years, from when it was a Marriott Courtyard, prior to Sonesta acquiring it. Since the acquisition, it's done little but gone downhill. They have a fabulous coffee bar...but about half the nights I've stayed here it does not open...at all. They have a snacks and drinks for sale area. Often, the drinks aren't stocked well. This most recent stay, only part of the refrigerator worked so they had beer only. No chilled sodas, energy or coffee drinks like usual. They do not provide any complementary coffee for guests in the morning, unlike every hotel they compete against. The mattress have gotten old and saggy. Firm in the middle and soft and bending downward at the sides. Even though the property is in a strip mall, they charge $10 a night to park close to the hotel which isn't disclosed while booking online. Why have I continued to stay here? It's the most convenient hotel to my elderly in-laws and that counts for something. But next time, we'll be driving 3 minutes farther away and staying at a nearly new, very highly rated hotel in Moorpark. Enough of stuff being done have-a**ed is enough. Get yourself into shape Sonesta.

Failed to meet expectations
Employees at the hotel we’re very friendly. However, I paid for a room that was supposed to have a sofa, bed and a roll-in shower. My room did not have either of those. Additionally, the confirmation says that there would be breakfast lunch and dinner available at the hotel. This was not the case. it was truly disappointing to have these expectations upon arrival and none of these expectations were met.
