“Great bargain”

Room was clean and serviced each day of my four night stay. To kill time went to pool area around noon on Easter Sunday. So impressed took a picture w/camera phone and sent it to several friends. Yes, there is a train but I was never awakened in the night by any train. Great restaurant on sight also.

“Great location”

This is a budget motel but overall very good conditions for being that. Perfect location, you can walk to the pier from the pedestrian bridge right next to the motel, there is a playground on the beach and one across the street from the motel. The breakfast was basically bagels, pastries limited fruit and juice and coffee but it sufficed. There is a restaurant although we didn't eat there so couldn't tell you if it's good. Very good for the money and location though.

“Great place to stay”

Vagabond Inn was simple, clean, and comfortable - a great value for your money. It is located within a five minute walk to the beach and the Ventura Pier and is situated right next to a cute little town and Main Street. I would love to go back again!!

“Nice spot for the price”

It was a handy location...close to downtown Ventura, near recreational locations, fairly quiet, except for the daytime train.

“Nice place to stay”

We enjoyed the abundance of choices for the continental breakfast and the all day availability of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juices. The walk to the mission and to a myriad of thrift shops and boutiques was enjoyable. The staff was pleasant & helpful.

“More than acceptable”

You get what you pay for and the Vagabond offered good value. good room and services. The free continental breakfast was well below average in terms of selection, although it was plentiful and hygienic. Would stay there again.

“Train, yes, but also Beach and Downtown within 1 block”

Best location in Ventura. Walk to Beach, downtown, movies, restaurants... The room was nice, had micro and frige, iron and board, in-room coffee, cable...all the extras that you would expect to pay more for. Very nice pool and spa area. Can see the ocean from the pool lounger I was laying on. I felt like I was at a resort! The staff was very nice, the room was clean. The grounds are spacious, not small and crowded like other hotels in the area. I loved it. I will stay there next time I go to Ventura
