no view of the ocean,, outdated furniture

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Cons: Remodeled and updated!
room not clean, bathroom not clean, mattress worn out, lumpy, had to sleep in the middle of the bed, other wise had to sleep in a worn out, non-supported mattress. Motel 6 would have been better. Very noisey, had problems sleeping. No view of the ocean as advertised. No pictures or wall hanging.

Motion sensor lights by the front door?

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Cons: Staff wasn't very friendly
Who's genius idea was it to install a motion sensor light by the front door so every time someone gets up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom it turns on a bright light?

This hotel is very nice and well kept. The only real problem id the immediately adjacent 101 freeway an unfortunately later addition

Beautiful historic property in need of care

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: The grounds, outside of the hotel and lobby are beautiful.
Cons: We rated the facilities and room comfort on the low side because they need renovation. The room itself was nice but the bathroom was horrible!
Location: The Pierpont sits alongside the 101 and overlooks the Ventura beach. Casual dining: Spencer Makenzies or hit downtown Ventura for other great eateries
When we arrived we were behind one other person at the check-in desk. It took too long for the gentleman to get to us but when he did, he was very pleasant and handled us with expediency.

We loved this hotel, well worth the price. A little run down in parts, but very clean & comfortable. Big rooms & comfy beds. Would definitely stay there again if in the area. This was a very charming hotel. Recommend highly if on a budget.

Older hotel near the beach.

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: It was near the beach.
Cons: The lobby smelled pretty musty. Find a way to get rid of the smell.
For the most part, the hotel worked for what I needed. Just a place to stay while traveling for work. It took quite a long time to get checked in. I didn't notice the night before but when I went to take a shower in the morning, the bathtub had black flacky stuff in the bottom. I cleaned it out before taking a shower but if I were going to take a bath I would have been pretty upset. Just know all rooms are outside rooms, no secure inside rooms.

Convenient location

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Good location
Cons: Very dated and beds, bedding need to be updated.
Location: Main street is about a 10 minute drive, coast is 5 minutes
The hotel is clean, but definitely needs an update in the rooms. We also had a problem with the heating, and it was like a sauna in our room all night. Staff was very friendly.

Nice hotel close to beach with a nice restaurant

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: The entire hotel was very well maintained, and there were always staff around, and they were always amazing.
Cons: More and/or bigger pillows on the bed.
Location: A block from the beach, short drive to downtown, short drive to the harbor.
Very comfortable and convenient. The bed was amazing, and the patio outside the room was very nice. It had cozy feel when you entered the lobby. It was Christmas so there were beautiful decorations all around.
