“We'll be back!”

We chose to stay only the first night of our Veracruz vacation, moving to a hotel downtown for the remaining two nights. Afterwards, we wish we'd stayed one more night here because it was so much more luxurious and beautiful than our downtown hotel! The staff was outstanding in every capacity- we were delighted with everyone we talked to. The beach was great, really calm so people with kids would love it. The pool was fantastic- we didn't go in until a few hours before we had to check out which we wished we had done differently because we could have stayed in it all day! The restaurant was a pleasure to eat at- we both work in and regularly frequent fine dining restaurants in San Francisco, so we are true 'foodies' and this hotel will not dissapoint! I saw other reviews before we went saying the food was 'expensive', but gourmet is gourmet and it cost more! Plus, for us it was still cheaper than SF, so we had no problem throwing down a little extra. Though we ate at some great places during the rest of our stay, none of them matched the hotel's restaurants for quality. The rooms were beautiful and had every comfort. We felt we got an incredible value for our money, and are looking forward to our next trip!

“Great for Relaxation and Close to So Much”

The hotel was clean and modern. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. All rooms have ocean and/or pool view. The beach was not as beautiful as some (brown sand, dark green gulf) but it was clean and private. No vendors will bother you as you walk the shore. A reef at some distance keeps the waves at bay so this is a perfect place for children without the worry of dangerous undercurrents. The pool was a great place to relax and catch some rays and tropical drink.

“Is getting better, but still could be much better”

Not bad, but not the best hotel in town, and they say that.

“Unmainained and dirty public facilities”

Pool with mud, catsup containers, etc. Walls without paint, cracked corners...the hotel should have been geat when inagurated, but when is a good maintenance program to begin?

“For resort travelers, not business”

The hotel has a good location right on the Gulf. The staff is friendly and efficient, willing to help where they can. I was there for business and my in-room internet connection did not work. I had to pull up e-mail in the hotel lobby where there is free wireless but limited electrical outlets so I was limited to battery power and lost the flexibility to work at all hours. The A/C in the room went out on the second night.

“A good option”

Since it was peak season I guess that the attention was not at its best. The hotel needs more maintinence, elevators, paint and basically tune it up a little. The prices were high (food and drinks) so we decided to eat somewere else. Even other hotels in the area were more affordable.
