Fine for the price

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Good value for the money
Cons: TV should have better reception
Location: Location was perfect. Right in the middle of town. Not a lot to do in Vernal but the Dinosaur museum is worth seeing
It is not a luxury stay by any means but the beds are very comfortable and it is clean. It is old but has a microwave and fridge and big screen TV. It was well worth what we paid for it.

Clean, inexpensive older motel.

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: The price
Cons: Still needs more remodeling (paint).
Location: The Location was good. We enjoyed a great river run, the dinosaur quarry and a great night at the rodeo.
We were looking for a inexpensive motel to stay at after a river run and a night of rodeo. We found it clean. They have tried to update beds, but the motel has seen alot of use and abuse and still needs more tender loving care. It didn't look the best (older and some damage to walls). But the price was right and it was clean. We would stay there again.

Sage Motel

Posted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: $100.00 a night should have been about $39.00 a night.
Location: Not much to do in Vernal, Utah
Nice staff, facilities are outdated and worn out. Typical oil boom town motel that is expensive and over rated.

Cheap motel

Posted Aug 7, 2013
For the price, it's probably not all that bad. Our shower never got above lukewarm, there was some damage to the bathroom door that made it difficult to close, and it definitely wasn't the cleanest room I've ever seen. On the positive side, it had a fairly comfortable bed, fridge and microwave.

retro motel

Posted Jul 25, 2013
Pros: It was quiet, clean and was in the area where we wanted to stay and reasonably priced.
Cons: it could be updated and modernized, but then it wouldn't be retro...it'd be the Holiday Inn or Best Western and cost twice as much
Location: Walked around the corner to The Quarry, a micro brewery with excellent food. Lots of small shops in the downtown area.
It's like the motels during the 50's when I used to travel w/ my parents. If you want every thing to be super fancy, this isn't the place. It's very basic with a helpful staff. We needed a hairdryer and there wasn't one in the room, so the desk clerk let us borrow her personal one.

Nice but improvements needed.

Posted Jun 25, 2013
Pros: Location was good. Could walk to restaurants and local shopping. Live music a block away on Thursday nights.
Cons: Thicker towels, they are so thin not soft. Not many TV stations. A huge tv screen and nothing to watch. Continental breakfast was let down.
Location: Beautiful mountains surround area. Lots of hiking and interesting to go to Quarry at Dinasaur National Park
The free breakfast was a total disappointment. No space for tables to sit down. Stale rolls that must have been several days old. They gave us coupons for local restaurants and one of them the restaurant would not honor.

Pros: Close to everything
Stayed for 2 days over the weekend and was never bothered by outside noise. Room was clean and staff was nice.
