Vernon Downs Casino and Hotel

I wrote a message in the dust in the room. Very, very dusty!!

The hotel was very clean and the room was very spacious. Beds very comfortable. Didn't have much contact with the staff because we had no issues. Front desk personelle was very nice. Would definitly recommend this hotel.

Hotel charged my credit card for the stay - please double check your bills.

It appears that the hotel is working hard to upgrade the dated areas but they skipped the bathrooms. Simple upgrades like half round shower rods so the curtain is not stuck to you when you shower and new shower heads that have more pressure will go a long way! The snow removal of the parking lot was poor at best so if you plan to be there in bad weather, bring a shovel and boots! Overall not bad for the price but seriously lacks attention to details and those are the reasons people come back.

Nice rooms, comfortable beds, OK continental breakfast, nice location and decent casino. Real pleasant staff at Mr. G's restaurant. We are repeat visitors and will return again.

Over all good, but beds to small.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Most of the guests are staying for the Track/Casino. The pool was great for kids, the rooms were very good. The only negative comment is that the front desk staff seemed less professional than other "chain hotels" but I had not problems at all and it seemed to have been recently renovated.

Hotel lobby was updated 2 years ago. Halls were well-lit. Super-clean, comfortable, quiet hotel.
