Place has gone down hill.
Took 30 plus minutes to check in. They don’t have an automated system because they quit their hotel chain. So I had to call Hotels.com to confirm rooms. Good thing they weren’t full. Standards were poor even by Knight’s Inn standards.

Nice Owner
It is a comfortable place for us to stay in. We have been going to this Knights Inn for many years now. The owner is the sole person running the Inn, a very nice lady. It always looks immaculate. The area is not a holiday vacation type of place. But it has two nice restaurants within easy walking distance and a McDonald and Burger King for coffee or a quick breakfast.

The room and bathroom were very small and dingy. There were light switches broken and outlets that didn’t work. The place is basically dumpy, but in a convenient location.

No breakfast, service personnel walked in twice unannounced, 3rd degree when leaving at 11:06 instead of 11:00, sheets were dirty, found laffy taffy wrappers in bed. Really upset I used a free night on this location, never again.

The smoke detector was in the nightstand drawer without a battery. The door had no chain lock, so I had to prop a chair against it for added security. Parking was tight and limited. It was clean and functional. Foreign owners living on-site, accommodated my 1130 pm check in. Perfect place to punish a husband pre divorce.

The receptionist was arguing with me the entire time about how they don’t charge $50 a night for weekends, but how could that be my problem? The room was in rough condition. There was water damage, and it smelt accordingly. Overall, it was a disaster.

Cheap, Clean Basic Room ...
We stayed in Room # 15 for one night since we were in town for a Baseball Tournament in Dodgerstown ... The room was clean and very basic nothing over the top you had your basic bed, t.v., microwave and small Fridge, and bathroom area ... In the morning when I went to check out they had coffee in the Hotel lobby area but no breakfast. The Hotel was very conveniently located to everything like restaurants, shopping and Starbucks all within minutes. The Hotel staff was friendly. No issues at all ... I would recommend this place to others if you want a quick cheap room to stay for a night while you are in Vero Beach !!!

Should not be allowed to be open
If there existed a way to give this place a negative rating I would. Ants in bed, burn holes from cigarettes on the linen, furniture, etc. Dirty, overall just dirty and not cleaned. How this continues to hold a Knights Inn contract is beyond me. I was raised believing that if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all. In this case, I am posting to tell others, under no circumstances should you try staying at this place.

Watching customers/curfew...?
I was paranoid that the owner/receptionist would deactivate my room key AGAIN if I wasn't in the room by a certain of night. I felt that I had a curfew and I haven't had one since I was 15. She asked me personal questions that I was NOT comfortable with nor were the answers any of her business. The toilet did not work properly (had to fill tank MANUALLY in order to flush) and wanted to charge me extra to switch to a room that had a working toilet. Unfortunately I had to endure the stay at this atrocious hotel because financial reasons but I recommend to future customers DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. I recommend the Motel 6 that just opened up. It's right off exit 147, across the street from the TA gas station.

Good stay
The room was very clean, with nice king size bed. Pillow wasn't great. Had refrigerator with freezer, a microwave, nice tv mounted high on wall so you can see it laying down. The only thing that was not great, was because the bathroom was so small, the toilet was difficult to maneuver. If it were sideways, it would have been better.

room smells, 'breakfast' misleading
This was a very good value - using the mystery hotel rate on expedia, 2*. compared to other prices for the area, so you take your chances in those instances. I was travelling alone and was bachelor to mid-life, so I'm very tolerant, LOL - I can't/don't take these 2* risks when travelling with my wife! room was clean but had a smell on arrival. of course the brain is very 'smart' and eventually stops 'caring' about that signal from nose (ie. you forget about it, adjust as it were). "breakfast" was very misleading. one muffin was produced when I asked about it (don't think would have been on counter otherwise). ... couldn't even get into lobby to almost 0800 for coffee.

Internet would not work the room looks like a dump would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Overly high priced crappy hotel. When I called the front desk the owner never picked up the phone. No thrill motel toilet would not flush from time to time.

Perfect for 1 person business trip
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for a school/business trip with meetings each day in Vero Beach. Location was perfect, price was right and room was perfect for 1 person. Space is a little tight otherwise, but it was all that I needed. Only downfall was the limited breakfast (4 individually wrapped muffins the first morning, I took one. Then 3 individually wrapped muffins the next morning), even though they advertised "breakfast included". I would stay here again if I was in the area by myself.

Simple and Cheap in Vero Beach.
Simple room. Clean and quiet except for a little traffic noise. Mr. and Ms. Patel were courteous and kind. It is a refurbished old Florida Motel right in the middle of Vero. But, for $70 a cheap and workable place to stay. For the price and convenience we would stay again.
