The rooms are a little smaller than the pictures would have you believe. Very clean with a very nice lobby. Very friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: location
We enjoyed our stay at MainStay Suites in Port St Lucie, Fl. The staff (Cassandra at the front desk) were very accommodating to our needs. She was extremely friendly and courteous and helped us to be able to check in a little earlier.

Overall ok.. room phone did not work nor did the coffee maker.. but at 2 a.m. we were ready to crash.. Derrick the front desk clerk was super friendly & helpful & the ladies at the continental breakfast made us more sausage n waffles even though they do not put any more food out after 9.. Everything was gone by the time we came down @ 9:15.. So big plus in my book.. Holly - Panama City, FL..

Pros: The staff were very nice & accommodating.
Cons: urine smell & bed next to AC
Location: Great location. It is close to entertainment, stores & restaurants.
The first night smelled like they just cleaned dog urine from the carpet. The room is very small so the bed is 1 foot from the AC which causes the person next to it to freeze when it is on. There were few hotel rooms available, so it was a place to stay.

First Time at a Mainstay

Overall, not bad! Used the phone service with hotels.com and stayed here because we were traveling with our two pets. The room was very clean. The service staff was polite and friendly. The surrounding area was great. My only concerns were the room smelled very musty and the prepaid reservation did not nciude the pet fee which was a surprise.

On arrival the staff were very welcoming and that continued throughout our stay. I found them polite curtious and always on hand to help. Definitely will stay there again.

The room smelled and not in a good way. The A/C was loud. Trying to cool of the room faster made it worse. The shower is the size of a shoe box and falling apart. Does anyone check for chipped paint, cracked plastic above the shower, wallpaper falling off the walls. It was extremely difficult to open and close the sliding bathroom door as there is no handle. If you push the sliding door too far in, it is almost impossible to get it open. As you can see by all the scraps on the inside of the sliding door. The wallpaper in the bathroom is falling down and very antiquated. The light above the sink did not work properly. I found razor clippings in the "clean" hand towels hanging to the right of the sink. I guess the housekeeping staff assumed that a previous guess (not sure now long ago those towels were last exchanged for clean towels?) used and left them there from one of the previous guests. Those beds have been well used. I think you got your monies worth. Lets think new one's soon. Seating outside to enjoy your continental breakfast was not possible because the tables were all wet. The breakfast offerings were fine. Your staff at the front desk should be out front at all times. Not in that backroom have a conversation with other employees. I do want to say that Jorydan was at the front desk when we arrived and took care of us promptly. There are too many choices in hotels too ever come back to this hotel. We have family in the area and will be visiting often.
