“Excellent Recommendation!!!”

I prepaid but had to arrive a day later than planned. The staff made a courtesy call to make sure I was ok. Upon check in it smelled fresh like someone had cleaned up in the lobby. I didn't have to wait and the staff was very nice. Room was very clean and smelled good. I asked for a late checkout and was told no problem. I will definitely stay here again if i need to show my face in Vero. Great view of the water also! :-)

Area recommendations

This area is nice and quiet. There is a Hurricane Grill and Bar I visited that was excellent and only about 5 mins driving away.

“Great hotel for a relaxing stay.”

Loved the hotel, location is perfect for going to Sunrise Theatre and a nice nearby dinner. Our room had a sliding glass door that would not open, so immediatley "Don" at the front desk upgraded our room to a waterfront suite---awesome room balcony on the water. Peaceful with wonderful views. This place is well WORTH the money. Nice complimentary breakfast in the a.m. We will be going back but next time--- will bring the boat. Nice dockage available too.

“Linna at the Docks”

Right on the intercoastal, so kind of a marina feel. Great for me, not for everyone. My room faced SW which was awesome, rooms on the north side would be in shade most of the day.

Several decent restaurants nearby, all seafood oriented. We went to Chuck's, which was really busy - the menu was ordinary - but the tile fish special was really special!

“not impressed”

Hotel needs a serious facelift. While we quickly realized we were in a location visited primarily by "snowbirds" and other retired people the hotel really needs to move into the current decade as regards decor, bed linens, TV, internet etc

“Great Place to Stay”

I enjoyed staying at the Sandhurst and would stay there again. Their complementary breakfast was very nice, simple but good, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would have liked a refrigerator in the room, but apart from that it was great.

Area recommendations

I would visit the museums, especially the Backus Museum.

“A great inexpensive hotel on the beach”

We have been staying at the Sandhurst for several years, even when it was a Holiday Inn Express (before the hurricane) and this year seemed to be our best stay. I noticed some subtle changes had been made, like the new lamps in the rooms. The hotel was quiet and close to all the best restaurants and fun in the downtown area. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Fort Pierce.

Area recommendations

We love the South Beach area, as well as downtown Fort Pierce. Lots of great restaurants, both inexpensive and higher end. We enjoy going to Friday Fest (the first Friday of every month) and the farmers market that goes on every Satruday in the Marina area. The Sunrise Theatre, not far from the Marina, is a great venue for plays and other types of shows. The downtown area has been enjoying a re-birth over that last several years and it is definitely a change for the better.

“As a Florida native, I was embarrassed for the beach and pool.”

While the front desk staff was very friendly and professional, the hotel facilities were not what I expected. The "private beach" was merely a strip of brown sand between boat docks and the pool was very small and in desperate need of an update. The room was nice and comfortable and there was plenty of parking. I was disappointed in the selection of restaurant, bars, nightlife and activities in the area. I would not have wanted to stay in this area for more than one night.

“Relaxing”

The hotel advertised a revolving menu for breakfast but we had the same egg and sausage sandwich for 7 days. Other than that, enjoyable.
