Old world character hotelPosted Mar 19, 2013
Pros: Period charm
Cons: Rooms a little hot but opening the window solved this
Location: 1 minutes walk from the Arena
Hotel has lots of charm and character, not at all bland like many modern hotels. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast good and coffee is super strong. Overall I was very happy with the quality of the hotel and staff and would happily stay here again.

HOTEL TO MISS!Posted Feb 14, 2013
Pros: The location is great but that's where it ends!
Cons: Everything except the location!
The hotel's location is excellent but everything else is disappointing. The lobby and dining room are very tired while the room I was given (no excuse as the hotel was virtually empty, presumably because of the time of year) was dreadful: dark, tiny and depressing! I have stayed in several other hotels in Verona and decided to tey this one but never again!

Convenient locationPosted Dec 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel is well situated for siteseeing. Service by staff was friendly yet professional. Breakfast was superb - great variety in menu and very welcoming staff. Only criticism was the lack of car parking at the hotel which means you have to use public car parking which is not very convenient with luggage. The room was beautiful exactly what you would expect in Verona but please replace the pillows! It was like laying your head on a slab of marble! We would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a 4 star hotel close to the major tourist sites.

A 4 star should include internetPosted Dec 5, 2012 on Hotels.com
Lovely location and comfortable room. however, very disappointing to be charged so many extras that were not clear enough on hotels.com. Parking 22eur/day, internet, taxes, all sums up and is just not cool. Internet should be included in a 4 star hotel. Oh and the breakfast was a big disappointment. Served until 11 but at 10am there were nothing left and it took the waitress 30 min to bring out new bread and juice, not acceptable again at a 4 star hotel.Good service to let us park 2 hours extra though.

Nice hotel, nothing outstandingPosted Nov 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
The location of the hotel is perfect- just across the road from the Arena and the bus from the airport goes straight there. The hotel looks like its seen better days - but this could be an impression due to the fact that we 'd just come from a small boutique hotel. The heat in the room was terrible and affected sleeping; there didn't seem to be any way of reducing the temperature, bar leaving the window open (not possible due to type of window). The L'occitaine products are small samples of shower gel and shampoo - why not add some conditioner? I would return because of the location but wouldn't have huge expectations. Staff were generally friendly.
Stylish and comfortable - arena on your doorstepPosted Oct 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is a lovely hotel. Whilst it seems small from the outside and from the lobby, it is more spacious than you think. The rooms were very nicely decorated and were very comfortable with mini bar, and very nice bathroom. The location was perfect for the Arena, just over a minute's walk to the main square. I would stay here again as it is simply a great location. The breakfast was also amazing, much better than many Italian hotels.

Great for ArenaPosted Sep 28, 2012
Brilliantly placed for Arena and central shopping. Staff extremely helpful - hotel a little "tired" and probably not up to 4 Star.

Mere blocks away from all you would want to see In Verona. Getting there is a challenge as well as finding your way back to the hotel even. That is a part of being in Verona though, and the people are very helpful. One pharmacist even went so far as to look up the hotel location on his Internet and come outside to point the way!

Hotel was fabulous!!Posted Sep 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel was wonderful! The rooms are clean, furnishings are lovely, very large room and bath for most European hotels. Very close to all the city sights. We were very pleased!!!
