Great hotel, just steps from the arenaPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff
On arrival I got a lovely friendly welcome from the reception staff who were very professional. The room was comfy and despite being a single, had a huge balcony and minibar!! It was a great stay and I will definitely use the hotel again!

Beautiful Central Hotel next to the ArenaPosted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Pretty much everything apart from no kettle.
Cons: No iron in the room but they have a housekeeper who will iron and launder. 5 items /10 euros but heck you are on holiday after all!. No kettle.
Location: 1 minutes from the Arena square (Piazza Bra) and 2 minutes walk away from main shopping street (Via Mazzini). Tourist buses just around the corner.
Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean. I even tried to find some dust because I couldn't believe how clean it was. There wasn't a spot anywhere (shelves, bathroom). The linen was changed every day. The corridors were spotless. The breakfast (free) was as voluminous as it was varied. (UK breakfast as well as hams, cheeses, yogurts, cornflakes, muffins, fruit juice, tea, coffee - cappuccinos if you wanted!). Staff very polite and helpful. Air conditioned rooms lovely and cool. It takes about 1 minute to walk to the Arena and all its cafes. It takes about 2 minutes to the start of the wonderful marble main street with all its little shops (Via Mazzini). Brilliant. The hotel ordered a taxi for us on the final morning and it arrived 10 minutes early. Perfect.

Elegant hotel, great locationPosted May 28, 2014
Location: In the Ponte Pietra area, there are some excellent small restaurants (osterias). It's worth walking beyond the main piazzas, which can be crowded.
Beautiful room with interesting features--marble bathroom, hardwood floors, windows overlooking a courtyard. The breakfast was varied and substantial, with breads, pastries, meats and cheeses, yogurt, fruit, fresh-squeezed blood orange juice, as well as scrabbled eggs and sausages for the those who want a more traditional American breakfast. And, of course, the coffee is fabulous! Hotel staff were professional and helpful. WiFi worked well.

Overall stay there was good. However, it would be better if your F&B would provide room service for those who checked in after the surrounding F&B outlets are closed for the day.

Nice hotel in the centrePosted Apr 24, 2014
Cons: beds and pillows
Hotel was lovely - clean and the staff were very nice and very helpful. It was centre to everything - room had no air conditioning and was uncomfortably hot sometimes - too noisey in the street to open the windows - bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were very hard. The breadfast was nice.

Wedding anniversary.Posted Apr 9, 2014
Having traveled widely it is difficult to imagine that I could find more helpful and co-operative staff. All my request for our wedding anniversary were met with precision and any request for assistance with information or travel was immediately forthcoming in the most pleasant manner. We took day trips by train to Venice (where we had been before). Milan,Padova, Peschiera del Garda and Desenzano del Garda. We took a bus to Sirmione which took one hour and was easy to do and well worth it. I would definitely recommend this hotel and room 36 to anyone looking for a very comfortable and well situated four star hotel in Verona. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful holiday celebration.
