Due Torri Grandeur
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: Spacious elegance
Location: Ideal. Could not be better.
Superb older world charm. Maintained to a very high standard and ideally placed to see all Verona's sights. Terrific view of the city from the roof garden.

simply brillant

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff are very approachable and helpful especially Franco at the bar. Without him we would not of had the experience we did. I cannot express how brilliant this hotel is.

this is a gorgeous hotel in the heart of verona directly across from a beautful church. We walked all of the older part of verona from this hotel and the staff could not have been kinder. Our room was very nice with a very modern bathroom.

Ignore other reviews!! Fabulous hotel!!
Posted Jan 19, 2012
Pros: Old world charm!!
Cons: Loved the hotel.
Location: Right in the centre of old town, excellent spot.
IGNORE ALL OTHER REVIEWS!! We were slightly apprehensive when booking this hotel, further to reading many other reviews, but there appeared not to be solid consistency. On arrival the hotel we found it in a quality setting, and on entering the hotel the reception was equally impressive. Checked in efficiently, then moved towards the spectacular dining and bar area, with high frescoed ceiling. Took the new lift up to our room which was again a wonderful surprise, full of old world charm, large and fully functional. The whole hotel experience was excellent and I hope others enjoy their stay as much as we did.

Lovely friendly hotel in central location

We had a lovely stay, 2 things we thought would improve the hotel were the beds and pillows were a little hard and an alternative restaurant - more gastro pub style would have been useful. Overall very happy - all the staff were delightful, helpful and friendly.

Greet location and awesome staff. They all are professional, helpful and attentive. The only reason I gave this place 4 and not 5 stars is their rooms which is in need of upgrade even though comfortable.

The ideal hotel in the ideal location
Posted Jan 20, 2011
This hotel is one of the most famous in Verona and of course you can expect to pay top dollar for it. It is in an ideal location close to the famous shopping streets and just 10 minutes walk from the Arena and a short distance from the Juliet House. Room service is excellent but of course a bit pricey. Verona has plenty of restaurants so you are not restricted to eating in the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. I chose this hotel because I couldn't speak a word of Italian and wanted a hotel within easy walking distance of all the attractions. I was pampered from the moment I set foot in the hotel and loved every minute of it! I'll definitely come again next year.

Very tired hotel that needs complete refurbishment
Posted Jan 9, 2011
This hotel was probably great 30 years ago but needs a complete overhaul. Verona lacks top hotels despite being the 4th most visited city in Italy, with many high-spending tourists. One woud think that Four Seasons or someone like that would buy Due Torri and convert it into a true 5-star hotel. Right now, it does not even make 3 stars in my opinion.

Very nice, good quality hotel
Posted Jan 8, 2011
This is a very nice, good quality hotel, located just at the edge of the old walled city. Very convenient for walking yet sufficiently distant from the action to provide a quiet respite. The public space of the hotel is exceptional, lovely vaulted, frescoed ceiling and gracious seating areas. Service is friendly and efficient. Only slight negative was the food in the restaurant in the evening. The dishes, intended to be "creative" were disappointing, while the price was on the high side. Overall however, we were very satisfied with this hotel and would recommend it to others during their stay in Verona.
