Great Location

Posted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: Location and Staff
Cons: Bed was a bit too hard for me.
Location: Close to everything
We stayed at the Academia for 3 nights in February. We were pleased upon arrival to be granted a free room upgrade and were not disappointed. Lovely big room with sofa and king size bed. Staff were very friendly and accommodating during our entire stay. Location was perfect for exploring the whole city. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to friends and family.

A gem of a hotel in the centre of Verona

Posted Jan 24, 2014
Pros: Everything !
Cons: Nothing
Location: Easy walking distance of all attractions in Verona. In a pedestrianised area which makes it ideal to stroll along in the evening.
A delight from beginning to end.Bright room with marble bathroom fittings, a huge bed and a shuttered window . Access out on to the inner courtyard, which would be very relaxing during warmer months.Excellent breakfast buffet. Attentive and welcoming staff .Everywhere kept spotlessly clean. Highly recommend this hotel.

As central as it gets

That's one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The room was pretty spacious and the bed was big and comfy. Everything was spotless and clean like the room had been renovated a week ago. The location couldn't be better - on a side street 10 feet away of Verona's main shopping track. The room was quiet though. The breakfast was ok, can't complain really. Our room had terrace access, which is awesome if you like to enjoy a glass of wine and cigarette while chatting with your friends over skype.

In Verona for the New Year celebrations at the Arena, and couldn't have asked for a better location. The Hotel staff are professional, friendly, and more than willing to assist with any and all. The room was large and comfortable, and the bathroom shower was massive. Breakfast was included and offered a large selection from traditional Italian to eggs and sausage.

Excellent hotel in Verona

Posted Jan 1, 2014
One of the nicest hotels in town with an excellent location right in the center of the old town and shopping district. 2 blocks walk to the Colosseum and Piazza. Parking garage available to guests for a fee- a true luxury in Italy. An added special treat is the full buffet breakfast included in the room rate and served in a lovely dining room with well-trained wait staff. Also a nice amenity: our room had an outdoor patio with new furniture and garden, which would have been great for a warm weather visit. We visited Verona during the Christmas holidays. The holiday lights were festive and the piazza was beautiful. It wasn't low season, but it wasn't as crowded as Florence or Venice. We will be back to Verona and to the Accademia.

Great value, good hotel

Great value. Amazing location. Helpful staff. Rich breakfast. Very spacious gym. Hotel could use some updates in terms of decor here and there, but nothing major.
