Enjoyable stay.Posted Oct 30, 2012
Nice hotel, great rooms and breakfast; although floors were a tad thin; pray you don't get a lady in high-heels in the room above you!

Not impressdPosted May 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
Stall, all except the one who checked us in were reuse and inattentive. Internet policy is archaic and a pain in the ... rooms were hot and air conditioner did not work and since all electricity is shut off when you remove the key, and you get one key, no chance to cool it down. At night too noisy to open the window. Breakfast was only adequate but in a cramped basement room.

Hotel Marco Polo Verona- order meter taxiPosted Apr 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
Taxi from airport 23 euro on meter. Return taxi organised by hotel. No meter and cost 30 euro. Very annoyed. Either agree price beforehand with receptionist and driver or ask for a metered taxi. Patricia, Ireland

Great location for the ArenaPosted Sep 11, 2011 on Hotels.com
Stayed for 2 nights in September 2011 on a trip Verona to see the Opera. Spotlessly clean, decent sized twin room at street level (number 3) with lovely beamed high celing & locally made modern furniture - not a spot of chintz in sight! Breakfast adequate (typically Italian) but served downstairs in a cramped windowless room - not so great! Spa is in a seperate building & I can't comment as we didn't use it, but did pop in on arrival (believing it to be the hotel reception) & all looked very smart. To be honest, the hotel itself is much more of a b&b than a hotel as there are no facilities on offer other than the breakfast room. It's the separate spa that must add to the star count. Would, however, highly recommend the hotel for it's location if you're heading for the Opera, as just 5 mins walk to Piazza Bra.

Don't go here apart from "Bed & no breakfast"Posted Jul 21, 2010
We stayed in this hotel on a recent trip to Verona. It was expensive as they were taking advantage of the visitors to the Opera. It is quite well-located but not totally central; there was a lot of building work going on nearby. The reception staff were downright unfriendly and did not even have the basic courtesy to say "hello" when we came in. Breakfast was down in a converted cellar - underground - and was unpleasant. The food selection was poor - I am sure that the rolls were stale for the entire stay; coffee lukewarm; nothing cooked! Apart from breakfast, there was no food in the hotel; no coffee in the room; no bar; no lounge;no communal areas Thoroughly bad "value for money"
