The annex,Posted Nov 2, 2013
We stayed in the hotel annex. A small apartment in a quiet side road. Made a great change from being in a main hotel. It may not be everyone's choice, but it suited us perfectly. Would stay there again when we go back to Verona.

Conveniently situated city break hotel in VeronaPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: Very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Staff helpful.
Cons: As above air con would have improved our stay.
Location: Very conveniently placed for all amenities and tourist attractions.
Staff helpful, facilities good. Traffic noise very audible however double glazing rectified the problem at expense of fresh air. Air con to room would have been ideal. Hotel very conveniently placed for all attractions and local transport.

Annex is greatPosted Oct 22, 2013
I got the 1 bedroom apartment at the annex which turned out to be an actual apartment in a residential building near the river. Great location and a fantastic opportunity to live like a local (however briefly). There was even daily maid service which was not expected.

Nice hotel in great locationPosted Jun 16, 2013
Hotel was nice. Except the bed was uncomfortable and they make you pay extra for wifi.

Fabulous in all respects!Posted May 27, 2013
Pros: Great location, large modern bathroom, full breakfast, helpful staff. The inside is recently updated and the bed comfortable. Fabulous.
Cons: Only nit to pick was street noise in the morning.
Location: Just outside the old gate entrance by the Roman amphitheater, I can't imagine a better location.
We just stayed one night in Verona at the Hotel Mastino, but it was fabulous. Newly updated, a clean and comfortable room with a surprisingly large and modern bathroom (from my Italian experience at least). You couldn't ask for a better location, just outside the old gate and the Roman theater and an easy walk to restaurants and the city center. The breakfast provided was great, with the usual pastries, juices and coffee choices to meat, cheeses, even hot eggs and prociutto. The only down side was our location on the street side which made for a noisy morning, but that can be muted with closed windows and shutters and besides, shouldn't one get up early to enjoy the Italian morning?! We'll definitely stay here should we visit Verona again, and add more time!

Good location for sightseeingPosted May 24, 2013
A clean and comfortable "no frills" hotel just outside the old city centre. The location is ideal for access to the city sights and many restaurants and is about 20 minutes walk from the bus & railway stations. A good range of breakfast foods was provided in the self-service dining room. Our room was on the 1st. floor, overlooking a side street which became rather noisy in the early morning. As there was no air conditioning, we would probably not want to stay there in the height of summer and have to choose between airiness and noise. The room was strangely short of drawer and cupboard space - just a single wardrobe which also contained the mini bar and document safe. Computer wi-fi access is available at a charge of €1.00 per hour. Parking close to the old city is difficult - and there are many restricted zones which only residents can enter - so the charge for using the hotel's underground car park (€18.00 per day) is probably reasonable. If you want to avoid that fee and don't mind a trek to and from your car, the station car park west offers 24 hour parking at €7.00. (Parking Stazione Ovest, Via Citta Di Nimes)

Perfect location for exploring beautiful VeronaPosted May 4, 2013
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend at the end of April 2013. It is a great hotel, reasonably priced and in a perfect location as a base for exploring Verona. Room spacious, well equipped and comfortable, with a good sized bathroom and walk-in shower. Staff friendly and helpful throughout - we didn't need them for much but, when we did, they were there. WiFi @ 3 euros per day. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice, on a help yourself buffet basis in a lovely dining area on 1st floor. All the important parts of old Verona are within easy walking distance, with a wide choice of places to eat and drink to suit every budget.

Excellent locationPosted Apr 30, 2013
Excellent location, perfectly suiting our 48 hour stay. We had a room in the adjacent apartment building and therefore had limited experience of the hotel per se. Buffet breakfast was adequate. First impression of the staff was not great, but with that exception all others were friendly and helpful.
