Good hotel in excellent locationPosted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: The rooms, the staff, and the location,
Cons: Breakfast was only just adequate.
Location: It is less than 50 metres from the Arena, and everything in Verona is within walking distance, and there is plenty to do and see.
We went as a group of four, ( we study Italian together), and had booked four rooms. Despite arriving early we got a warm welcome and our rooms were ready. The rooms, whilst not large, were big enough for our requirements. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was of a high spec. Cleanliness was of a very high standard; this is a well run hotel. There is a small bar off Reception, ideal for pre dinner cocktails. All the staff we dealt with throughout our stay were very helpful and friendly, and willingly gave advice , for example, on restaurant recommendations. Good value for money and highly recommended.

Location!Location!Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms and big, comfortable bed
Cons: in the designer bathroom, I would suggest to put rails in the shower cubicle, as the floor is quite slippery
The hotel is right in the center of Verona, next to Arena- very clean and cosy rooms with comfortable kings beds.Very helpful and knowlagable staff.Safe in every room free of charge, LCD TV with one English channel, designer bathroom to die for- should be really 4 star hotel. Bed linen and towels changed every day.Me and my husband stayed five nights there and despite booking the cheapest room we were upgraded to a bigger one with no extra cost.Taxi from the airport to the hotel is 30 Euro.If you want to go to Venice, there is a bus from Piazza Bra 3 min from the hotel to the railway station and trains run approx every half hour- prices depending on time of departure ( time table at hotel reception), cheapest ticket 8 Euro and it takes 1hr20 min .InVenice buy vaporetto tickets at the kiosk in the railway station to save time and avoid queuing outside( 24hrs ticket cost 20 Euro !!!).The hotel exceeded our expectations- we will be back and we highly recommend it to anybody who wants to be near all important sights.Big thank you to all staff of hotel Milano for making our stay .

Lovely hotel close to the ArenaPosted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location! Also the cleanliness, the breakfast and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.
Location: The hotel is situated just a minute from the magnificent Arena, high-end shopping and restaurants.
We were delighted that the hotel was so centrally located in Verona. We certainly enjoyed our stay but found our room somewhat warm. Though the air conditioning had been turned off it was unseasonably warm! To try and cool the room we kept our window open during the night. Unfortunately, some biting insects came in and my partner had a reaction to the bites. I cannot praise highly enough the manageress who moved us to a different room, told us where the nearest chemist was located and who also paid for the cost of our medicine. Many thanks.

Good position, BUT ...Posted Nov 8, 2014
When I book a bed to be occupied by 2 people I expect that both will be able to access the bed from their own side and that each will have a bedside table. This was not the case at Hotel Milano as the bed was in a corner against a wall.

Wonderful, attentive staff but a few drawbacksPosted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Kind, attentive and accommodating staff; excellent breakfasts; clean rooms; comfortable bed; superb location.
Cons: Air conditioning; one of the two shower heads; lock on the bathroom door did not work.
Location: The hotel is virtually next to the Arena right in the centre of the city. Duomo, Piazza Erbe, Juliet's balcony, etc. were a stone's throw away.
All staff at this ideally located hotel in Verona were attentive and very helpful. We have two small children, and they were made to feel very special - the staff, particularly at breakfast (which was very good) - were genuinely fantastic. There were one or two downsides. The most important of these was that the room was very hot - stuck at around 23.5-24.0 centigrade. The air conditioning did not work (it could be set to a lower temperature but this made no difference - the gauge would immediately return to read the same overly warm temp). We enquired about this, and the staff at reception reset it to reduce to 20 degrees from their console - but again this made no difference. We could improve things temporarily by opening the window wide, but within minutes of closing it, the temp would return again to a min. of 23.5 (we also had somebody up to the room, but nothing worked despite indications that it would). Incidentally, we overheard another couple raising the issue at the desk during our stay. We were on the 1st floor and there was a fair amount of noise during the night from the street below, so it might be advisable to request a quiet room (or at least one further from street level). Despite these reservations, we would certainly stay there again - and look forward to doing so.

Really HappyPosted Oct 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was really impresed with the Milano. The only drawback was the size of the room, it was quite small, but otherwise, I can't pick a fault with it! Very well priced (I'd have probably paid more), great location, great breakfast selection, very helpful and professional staff, the rooftop bar area was great. I'd thoroughly recommend staying here.
