“Nice place, long walk from historic city center”

Overall, our experience at Hotel Piccolo was a good one. It's relatively close to the train station, but the walk is along major roads. It's a bit of a hike to the historic city center. Staff was good. Our room was very clean and had excellent amenities, including free bottled water in the room. Breakfast was excellent, the best we had during a two week stay throughout Italy.

“One night at Hotel Piccolo”

Hotel looks a little shabby from the outside but nice inside. Very small, typically Italian, hotel room. Good nights sleep, good continental breakfast nothing else. If you are not planning on spending any time in the hotel this is perfect and at a good price point for the city. Be sure to get a map and walk to the hotel from the train station. The cab ride takes longer than the walk.

“Good location but bad service...”

The service wasn't good. It took about one hour for the receptionist to give us back the passports after registration... We asked if we can stay and wait for the passports but the answer was negative. The room was pretty small and not so comfortable. The only good thing, is the location of the hotel, which is about 7-10 minutes walk from the central train station of Verona. Although doing this way with luggage is pretty hard...

“Doing me a favor”

The afternoon I checked in the manager on duty acted as if he were doing me a favor by allowing me to be a guest in his hotel. The desk staff after that were alright but not overly friendly or helpful. The hotel is also very difficult to get to.
