Nice overall experiencePosted Feb 9, 2014
Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. About 15 minutes walking from the station and 10 minutes from the centre of the city. The restaurant of the hotel is not bad and get also quite busy and good atmosphere in the evening.

Convenient enough location but loud outsidePosted Nov 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
I liked the location because it was a beautiful walk to the city center and it only took about 15 minutes. However, we were on the first floor by the street so you can hear the traffic go by all night. Just request a room higher up and it should be better. Big bathroom and place was clean. Breakfast was so-so, but it was complimentary so can't really complain. It smells like there's a farm close by because you can smell cow dung or something during the walk to the city center. It disappears once you get closer to the Piazza. The first receptionist was very business-like, not rude, but not especially friendly. The second one was better.

Average hotel on busy roadPosted Oct 31, 2013
We weren't paying much so we didn't expect much. I would have liked some temperature control however, in the high humidity but couldn't leave the window open with the traffic noise. A query to reception was met with a brusque "it's autumn we have heating not air conditioning". A bit run down and particularly in the adjacent cafe not foreign speaker friendly

Hotel within walking distance to city centerPosted Jul 16, 2013
One aspect I really liked was the hotel picked people up in the evening after the opera was over.

Good hotel, but small roomsPosted Oct 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
We only stayed for one night as we were travelling on. The hotel was very clean, we'll situated with agree car cark opposite. The old town was just around the corner so that was easy to get too. The room we had was very small, we don't know if it was typical of all the rooms. The bed was very good as was the shower.

Close, but not close enough to walkPosted Aug 6, 2012
Nice compromise between price and location. It's really too far to walk to the famous town center, but a very quick drive. Limited free parking next to the hotel, but they do have paid underground parking. Nice breakfast in the mornings.

Montez stay at the Porta Palio.Posted May 28, 2012
Pros: Cleaniness and a no nonsense approach to travel guests.
Cons: Not much. It was fine with me. I just wanted a convenient place to rest my head and see the sights.
Location: Location was very convenient to the rail station and downtown. Walking distance from the Basilica Santo Zeno, the patron saint of Verona.
We found this hotel with the help of one of your agents. Knowing Verona a bit we wanted something near the train station and also near the center of town. We got both and were delighted with the accommodations and staff. The restaurant next door was very convenient and we will definitely stay there again. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Also loved the colors. I recommend this to everyone staying in Verona, especially traveling by TrenItalia. Very convenient.
