Chose closest from the Verona station but it was more than 20min. walk. Seems like it was located at a not safe area & smell so bad (fertilizer factory near-by???) Nothing decent to eat around the hotel for dinner. The room air-con was not working, but if we open the window, outside smell so bad......will not recommend to stay here. If you are visiting Verona, stay near the arena or in the city center.

What an awful location!!!Posted Oct 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
When we arrived at the hotel by taxi from the train station, I was in shock. The location of the hotel was horrific! There were two roads on each side of the hotel. A rail line in front, overpasses, underpasses, a construction site on one side, an industrial building with a silo on the other, and abandoned buildings all around. It was unbelievable! Walking in, the lobby smelled like burning tires. All my senses were assaulted! Much to my surprise, the room was nice and neat. And the breakfast, I have to say was really good and varied. But aside from that, it was an awful area to be in. Very scary at night, especially!! This certainly should have been mentioned on the hotel.com site. I will never go back, nor recommend this place to anyone.

handy position for railway stationPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
About 30 mins walk from the old part of Verona but the hotel offers free bicycles so that is very handy. The hotel is close to the railway station (3 mins by cycle) and we used it to visit Venice for the day by train. The hotel is well kept and recently refurbished with a great breakfast. It has no restaurant. Our triple room was supposed to be 25 Sq m but it was much smaller than this but otherwise very nice. All in all a great hotel although some distance from old Verona but at least the area is quiet, if characterless.

Prepare for a busy walk into the city centrePosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Bar closing early so we couldn't have a drink after dinner
Location: Slightly seedy location
We picked this hotel because we needed a city hotel with parking. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable (although the room was quite small), but it is in an industrial area which appears a bit seedy. It is about a half hour walk into the city along major roads, but it is possible to get a bus. There is a shuttle bus into the city to cater for the opera. We were disappointed to return home one night at around 11pm to find that the bar was closed so we could not have a post dinner drink. The day staff were very pleasant and helpful, the evening staff less so.

Nice hotel but hard to findPosted Jul 16, 2013
Pros: room excellent. Breakfast very good.
This hotel was very nice. Room was excellent, breakfast was very good. One desk receptionist was not very cordial, but all the others were. The location was fine for visiting the center city. About a 30 minute walk. The hotel lends bicycles and if we had known the bike lanes were all on the sidewalks, wide, and safe to navigate, we would have used them rather than walk. Verona is very bicycle friendly. Parking was free in the large hotel lot. You need to pay by the hour for internet which was annoying, but not unusual in similar hotels I suppose. The negative I experienced was that the hotel was hard to find. The streets around it are very busy and not square. Directions provided by a well-known online map service were pretty much useless, street signs are nearly impossible to spot and our GPS couldn't keep up with the speed at which the corners and turns were coming. We finally just parked the car once we thought we were close and walked around till we fond the hotel. The hotel is located in an industrial area. It's safe enough to go out and walk but there are no restaurants nearby. The hotel gave us one place about a 5 minute walk but it turned out to be closed. Fortunately there was a small mom and pop place near there where we were able to get some food. I'd recommend it and go back now that I know how to find it but you need to be prepared or arrive at a low traffic time.

Value for money but poor locationPosted Jun 2, 2013
Location: As above
Good value or money, however problem is the location. Too far out of centre and not in a pleasant area. Industrial, between 2 busy roads and nowhere pleasant around. There is abus available but given the beauty of the old town of Verona would choose a hotel there next time.

comfort all round from room size, decent showerPosted May 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Pleasant reception on arrival and throughout stay. Comfortable room with tea and coffee making facility. No restaurant available but was recommended an excellent delivery service to room. Only 15 mins walk to city and close to train. Good breakfast included.

The room was fine and worked out OK, but very small and the beds were very hard. It was close to the train station, but definitely had to take a taxi because of the busy roads and general area wasn't something you could walk to. Had to take a bus to the city center, which wasn't the most ideal, but it worked out OK. Had a really nice breakfast!

Good stay at San PietroPosted Aug 24, 2011
We were only in Verona for one night to see an Opera. We arrived in the early afternoon and the front desk staff was helpful setting up transportation to/from the arena for us. The room was a little on the small side but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was spatious and clean. We had the included buffet breakfast in the morning which was really good. There was lots of selection (large selection of pastries, meat, cheese, fruits, yogurt, granola, juices, milk, coffee, tea). It was close to the train station (where we came in and left from - about 6euro taxi ride) and a quick taxi ride to the Arena/Juliet's balcony area (about 10euro taxi ride). We would recommend this hotel in Verona.

Inside hotel excelent,location / bar service poorPosted Aug 6, 2010 on Hotels.com
Location of hotel is poor(crosspoint of two busy streets). Rooms are excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Driver of hotel shuttle to the Verona arena drives like a crazy man. Bar service is very poor. Driver of shuttle nus is also the bartender. So some times no bar sevice available. bar closes already at 20.00m hours in the evening. Would have enjoyed a drink after the visit to the opera.
