Really lovely hotel which is very central in Verona just a 10-15 min walk to Piazza Bra. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nice breakfast in a lovely courtyard setting

A real find in VeronaPosted Jun 9, 2013
Pros: The beautifully fitted and decorated rooms and the really good continental breakfast
Cons: Some traffic noise (I had a room at the front)
Location: Great for all the sites and the station
The hotel is superb, very clean and the rooms are very smart and beautifully fitted and decorated. The staff could not do enough to make me feel comfortable. It is an ideal location in Verona. Castelvechio and the Arena are within easy walking distance and the railway station is only 10 minutes walk if you want to take a trip elsewhere. I cannot rate the hotel highly enough.

Hotel Scalzi - great value for the moneyPosted Jun 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is a great value for the money; although not directly in the center of Verona, it is a 10-15 minute walk. I had a large single with a nice bath. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a great restaurant nearby for pizza and pasta and more - Bella Napoli on Via Marconi.

Great Place to StayPosted Jun 3, 2013
Pros: Roof-top patio
Cons: Not overlooking a canal, but really was a stretch to find any negatives.
The hotel was better than expected! Location was just off the main street, so easy to find and close to everything. The pictures dont do it justice. We loved the open breakfast area and were pleasantly surprised to find a roof-top patio for guests. We had a few bottles of wine up there! Room was great, other than not being on a canal, nothing could have been better. Would recommend to anyone. Cheers

Great gateway to Verona.Posted May 22, 2013
Pros: Breakfast; location
Location: a short walk from the historic downtown area, the coliseum and many charming, historic places.
The hotel was situated convenient to the train station and many amazing local sights. The room was a bit small but we were economizing on this leg of our journey. I am certain there were larger rooms. The staff was very friendly and there was free internet available in the lobby (and in the rooms I believe but we arrived very late, so. . .). The breakfast was very good of high quality in a beautiful courtyard setting. The food was very good and plentiful. It was a very good value.

Cons: Little bit of noise from the other rooms
Location: Very good
Good location, within walking distance from the main train station and most touristic attractions. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Excellent staff, offering very good suggestions regarding places to eat and visit. Truly a very enjoyable experience, I will return.

Very nice family ownedPosted Oct 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
The only problem was the noise from neighbor rooms, the ceiling of the hotel is not very well insulated, you can hear everything and room 18 is smaller than the others, LOL

Excellent - Couldn't have asked for more!Posted May 8, 2012
Pros: Friendly owners and advice, and the suite was gorgeous!
Location: Good location, ten minute walk to piazza bra and arena and plentiful restaurants!
My wife and I travelled to Verona for two days as part of a wider tour of Italy and Europe for our honeymoon. This hotel was absolutely lovely, and has a very nice family run feel to it. The owners were extremely friendly, and would go no ends to ensure you enjoyed your stay, and were very happy to offer suggested day trips and restaurants which were more 'off piste' in terms of tourist traps. Breakfast was ample, and our suite was lovely with a mezzanine level sleeping quarters and beautiful brand new HUGE bathroom - pictures on the website don't do this hotel justice at all. Perfect location, everything in Verona within a ten minute walk!
