Average at best

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: location was ok. Bathroom was functional. Nothing great.
Location: Close to the Arena in Verona and all the main sights.
This hotel was such a disappointment. First of all our arrival was a disaster having to try to park the several blocks away and get through the very crowded entrance-way with the hundreds of tourists trying to take a lousy photo of the "maybe" balcony of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliette. Our room was small but that's typical for a European city. Service was awful and utterly reactive. Breakfast was the worst meal we had while in Italy. We attended the opera in Verona and had hoped for a magically romantic evening. It was not. Average at Best.

Beautiful and truly Italian.

Pros: Breakfast in our room while overlooking the world starting their day in the streets below!
Cons: It was perfect to us.
Location: historical sites, new sculptures near very old churches and amazing Italian boutique designer shopping!
There is something magical about walking on centuries of footsteps that have gone before you. Located at the heart of the city, it has the right balance of frenzy and calm. Breakfast in our room was a fabulous part of the overall experience. Located at the heart of the city, there is something for everyone! The food and boutique shopping nearby is second to none.

Superb location and a beautiful room.

Pros: The location, especially walking through the crowds feeling like a movie star! Big bed and a big bathroom.
Cons: Would like tea and coffee making provisions.
Location: Right in the heart of Verona (no pun intended) pretty much everything is within a ten minute walk.
Brilliant location, don't be put off thinking that it will always be busy outside because the court is closed to the public from 19.00 to 08.30. Great welcome by very helpful staff. We stayed in Il Mondo which was a lovely big room and we could see Guiletta's balcony! Only downside was no tea or coffee making facilities, but there are lots of coffee bars nearby where you can get cheap coffee and a cake for two and half euros. It was also a little noisy from upstairs and outside during the day, but we always take earplugs so this wasn't a problem for us.

BEST hotel room!

Ask for the Orient suite, it is absolutely perfect. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, it's located inside Juliet's courtyard. An exceptional value for the price.

Excellent central location

A charming hotel with comfortable accommodation; very helpful staff and a central location, all at a reasonable price. The town square is nearby, as are numerous restaurants, cafes and shops. The locale is pedestrianised, which makes sightseeing very easy and very safe. The traffic elsewhere is chaotic!
