I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite being told I'd have a king-sized bed, they stuck two single beds together. There were no power outlets near the bed, and when I complained, they tried to upsell me to a more expensive room. The hotel is outdated, and the staff were unfriendly. Overall, it ruined my vacation.

Beautiful hotel. Location not so good although close to train station and sights. Prices very high for food and mini bar. Breakfast was nice. Bathroom supplies very good and slippers nice touch.

The wonderful staff made this a good stay.
Chose this place because it was close to the train station and I was coming and going by train. It is about a 15-20 minute walk into the very centre of the city around the Arena. The whole city area is walkable from here. Overall a good stay due to some fantastic staff, especially in the bar. Breakfast was good and well layed out. Room and bathroom nice and clean. Very quiet, so made for a good sleep. Room was nice and spacious. A couple of issues though, powerpoints and charging points are difficult to find and awkwardly placed. The wifi was shocking, about the worst I've experienced. Upload was fine, but trying to open an email or a web page was mostly impossible, so I had to use my mobile data. The shower is a strange awkward design. It would be very difficult for a large person to fit through the 'entry'. I tried to watch a bit of TV one night, but the volume is restricted and I gave up trying to hear what they were saying. Fix up those issues and would be 5 stars

Beautiful hotel.
Lovely hotel with a superb breakfast and very friendly staff. Great location as close to the station, though if walking there, be aware to cross at the petrol station as it is not possible to cross the main road opp the hotel. I did have an issue with my room card, but the staff were very helpful and understanding and helped resolve the problem. Would love to stay again and take the private sauna.

The hotel is in a good spot, close to the airport and about 30 mins walk from the main town which means it's nice and quiet. The room was a good size and had a lovely spacious bathroom the only downside was the bed which was soooo hard and the shower which was either boiling hot or freezing cold!

This was not a good location for a person wanting to walk into the city centre or station. To get to either, it entailed walking through an underpass and crossing several large road junctions.

Nice hotel. Great value. However the person in adjacent room smoked. I got the smell. The ac was turned off for winter so the roomy was stuffy. I opened window but that let in mosquitoes

The buffet breakfast is very good, but don't ask for a take away breakfast its terrible. The TV in my room never worked and they never attempted to fix it.

Hotel Leon d'Oro is the world's best kept secret. It is an oasis in the middle of a busy city. It offers understated luxury and comfort, a very welcome surprise.

The outside and the lobby was nice. The shower in our room was disgusting and the drain was not working. The roof in the shower was not sealed. Honestly really gross could not wait to get out of that room. Also very small. Would not recommend

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very tired with aircon barely working and very slow wifi. No swimming pool so nowhere to chill out and relax other than lobby or a few chairs outside by the entrance drive. Parking was pricey at €18 a day and the exit ramp is unsuitable for any lowish cars as they will bottom out. Breakfast was ok with a selection of hot and cold choices but not outstanding. Overall ok as close to town and easy road access for travelling around.

Most of the hotel was very elegant but some maintenance was lacking. Bedroom wardrobe didn’t shut properly. Cold water pressure low, air conditioning didn’t work well.

Great location for the train station with easy connection to the airport via shuttle bus. 15 min stroll to Piazza Bra (the hub of Verona). The hotel has a bit of outdoor space, but it is a city hotel not a resort hotel. Very nice extensive lounge bar area, and a good restaurant. Our room was perfectly adequate for a week's stay, good size and clean. Bathroom looking a bit tired but everything worked so no complaints there. To conclude, good hotel, good location, good value for money.

Location perfect for both the station and city. Although the bed wasnt made to King and the shower didn't drain well, both were addressed quickly and efficiently. Wifi although connected didnt work at all during our visit.
