A good place to stay in Verona, we liked it

Posted Aug 28, 2012
Pros: Good condition, well-equipped, quiet, air conditioned
Cons: the location
Location: fair/exposition district, very few places to eat or drink. Plan to drive or take the bus downtown for dining or entertainment.
The Verona Inn is an apartment building that is either recently constructed or remodeled. The apartment we rented had a bedroom with 2 beds and a couch that unfolds into a bed in the kitchen/dining area. The apartment has a bathroom with a shower. Everything was clean and orderly, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Mercifully, the apartment has good air conditioning. We were only in the apartment at night, but the building seemed to be quiet. As we were away all day, the apartment very well suited our needs. The only inconvenience is that the Inn is located in the exposition district, so while the area is mainly residential or commercial, there are very few restaurants, bars, gelaterie etc. and they are not close by. However, there are 2 bus stops within a 5 minute walk and the buses will take you the Porta Nuova train station in 5 minutes and the downtown area (Piazza Bra) in 10 minutes.

Nice apartment near the train station but not near the old town. The best deal in Verona, though.

Pros: Clean, spacious, well located.
Cons: None
Location: Quiet and easy to reach. Transport to the town is very easy and reliable.
This is a perfect place to explore Verona, in July, for a family of for. In fact is only minutes away via bus to the Citta' Antica and is in really good conditions. Supermarkets and restaurant nearby, good neighbourough and the bus stop is just around the corner (n.91 or 98). The apartment is clean, spacious and fully furnished. Staff is friendly and helpful. Have a good stay.

I stayed with a family of 4 with 2 children. It is a 1 bedroom apartment, very clean and well maintained except that the TV wasn't working. It is in a working class neighbourhood.. Walking distance to the Fiere if you looking for a cheap place to stay for a conference. It is a bus ride from the centre of Verona and there is really nothing worth seeing around the neighborhood. As many other previous reviews have stated, make sure your car is small (hatchback) or it would be rather challenging parking in the basement parking lot.
