"Well worth its rating!"
Our room was huge! Clean, high ceiling room with a sofa bed and a double bed (read two singles attached so equivalent to King Size). Since buffet breakfast won't knock your socks off but adequate. Central location a minute way from the Arena. Attentive staff. All great.

"Excellent apartment in central 'old town' Verona"
My daughter and myself stayed for three nights to experience Verona and the opera. Opera Relais de Charme was the ideal location and quality to ensure that we felt we were on a well-deserved break.

"Great staff, near station"
Excellent staff, extremely attentive, more than is often found at much more expensive hotels We stayed during a period of a heat wave. Unfortunately during the day, the a/c struggled to keep the room cool (it was fine at night). The rooms were standard for a more traditional European hotel, meaning a bit smaller than might be the case in the U.S. Again--front reception staff was excellent. Note, we were a family of three staying in a triple room.

"Superb boutique hotel in excellent location "
This hotel is a unique gem. It's full of interesting clutter, a pair of parrots in an Orangerie and beautiful things. The attention to detail in it's decoration is wonderful. We were provided with a suite complete with tiny balcony looking out on to the square below. The bathroom and fittings are all new and work properly,

"nice location"
stayed here before and had a nice spacious room with balcony and birds hand painted on walls. the room this year was tiny ,especially the bathroom and kind of dowdy. annoyed the elevator never came on morning of departure and had to drag my bags down three flights. other than that the location is great , next to car-free city centre.

"Short break in Verona centre"
Good location easy to find by car, very cool and clean hotel. Weather was extremely hot but the rooms and public areas were an oasis of comfort. Quick walk to the main squares in which there are many places to eat and drink. Verona is a beautiful city with so much to see and do, I thought five days might be too much but it was not long enough before we moved onto the Lakes. Breakfast okay but nothing to write home about. Would definitely book again for a return trip

    Where to stay in Verona

    Your Guide to Verona Hotels

Hotels in Verona are globally renowned for their excellent value and high standards. Visitors to this beautiful city will be spoiled for choice with the sheer volume of reasonably-priced 5-star hotels and great-value 4-star hotels. Many Verona hotels have cemented their reputation for superiority by consistently offering attractive deals all year round - so pack your bags and get going!

Veronese architecture lends itself beautifully to its historic luxury hotels, so it’s no wonder that this ancient city is one of the most romantic destinations in the world. Seamlessly blending tourism and romance, this is the perfect place to sneak away for a romantic break, an anniversary surprise or simply some time away from the kids.

Unsurprisingly, given its charming beauty, the city of Verona is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you wander down cobbled streets, it’s easy to see why Shakespeare gave it a nod in three of his masterpieces. In fact, Romeo and Juliet are rumored to have wed in the crypt of the city’s famous Basilica of San Zeno. Built in honor of Verona’s patron saint and housing a fine collection of Romanesque art, sculpture and frescos, this architecturally intricate Basilica is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.

Shakespeare lovers and romantics are drawn to the 14th Century Casa di Giulietta, where a bronze statue of Juliet sits in a small courtyard. Tradition suggests that stroking her right breast will find true love. If this doesn’t work, you could always enjoy a candlelit dinner in one of Verona’s many quaint eateries before retiring to one of the nearby romantic hotels.

If it’s sightseeing you’re after, then pay a visit to Lake Garda, Italy’s biggest lake and a major tourist attraction. Formed by an ice-age glacier, Lake Garda sits serenely between a mountain range of stunning natural beauty. After drinking in the spectacular views, relax in one of the many spa hotels dotted along the shoreline.

Finally, if you only do one thing in Verona, make sure to visit the ancient Roman amphitheatre and open-air opera house, Arena di Verona. One of the finest surviving examples of Roman architecture, the Arena is home to the Arena di Verona Festival, Verona’s summer season of Opera. After sunset, the theatre is lit by candles distributed throughout the audience, forming a shadowy backdrop that compliments the on-stage performances. Whether you are a passionate opera lover or just a casual visitor, evening entertainment does not come better than this.
