"Upmarket Hotel near the sights & sites"
The Hotel Majestic is an upmarket, medium sized hotel near the Piazza Barberini and Barberini metro station. It's an easy walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. But beware even the legal taxis who are happy to charge you whatever they think they can get away with!

We had a great experience here...friendly staff, very accommodating, delicious buffet breakfast, and the location was perfect for us...safe, quite area, walking distance to the Spanish Steps and all the wonderful shoppes! Everything you expect from a five star hotel!

"Perfect location for sightseeing in Rome."
Beautifully kept hotel with clean and spacious rooms. You would never know that you were close to a street or that there were any rooms next to you. Probably the most quite room I have ever had the privilege of staying in.

"Nice and elegant hotel at the heart of Via Venetto"
Everything fine except the restaurant. The street Cafe is a disaster. You don't have the staff to take care of it at a reasonable level

"Beautiful hotel, well located, friendly staff."
This hotel is beautiful and perfectly located- its a 10 minute walk to most of the sights, maybe a 40 minute stroll to the Vatican. There is lots of choice for places to eat nearby, which is good because the hotel restaurant prices are steep (we didn't even bother to get the breakfast). On arrival the staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area -they provided us with a handy map and ran through most of the sights with us. The only negative thing to say was that there was work going on with the hotel which meant there was lots of noise from early on in the mornings but as we were out and about it didn't really affect us.

Hotel held our bags while waiting to check in. Great breakfast. Able to walk to every site on this side of river (trevi, spanish steps, republica, pantheon, etc). Room was really clean, had mini bar with drinks and snacks, easy elevator ride up to room or down to breakfast. Staff was friendly and attentive. Provided map on first day which helped greatly on our travels. Great places to eat nearby.

Pocket Guide: Via Veneto, Rome Romantic Hotels

Made famous by 'La Dolce Vita' film in 1960, the Via Veneto is going through a glamorous renaissance. Bars, restaurants, chic hotels and boutiques all vie for attention in the street which coined the expression 'paparazzo' – the surname of the photojournalist in the film. Nearby, the Spanish Steps are the place for lovers' trysts, shopping, and honing the Italian art of 'dolce far niente' – idling and people-watching.
