Weird smell in the room

I was glad I was only staying for one night. The service was not rude but certainly not friendly. My room had a strange smell like they were trying to cover up a smoke odor. I will not be coming back.

As we were non-Spanish speakers we found that this hotel made every effort to help us communicate, we had very basic language skills but the staff were terrific. Reception usually had at least one staff member who could speak English and the wait/restaurant staff were happy to help us muddle through. The position of the hotel was also nice as it was removed from the city centre with a lovely riverfront walkway only one block away. It was a nice friendly area to spend a few days although it seemed mostly to cater for business travellers. The room was very comfortable, good aircon. The only thing which could be improved would be free tea/coffee facilities in room as it becomes a nuisance to have to ask room service each time you want a cup of tea.

excellant location for busienssman working north of downtown. set up to be a working hotel for business . rooms are comfortable, with excellant free wi-fi and good desk/working section in room.
