The hotel is a short drive from Meta station, on the cliff top. Upon arrival we were greeted by 2 members of staff and offered a welcome drink which we enjoyed on the terrace in front of Reception which overlooks the sea. The bedroom had a lovely view and a comfortable bed but the bathroom looked a bit dated. It was clean and full equipped but could do with some work.
The staff were very friendly and kind. They arranged for a local restaurant to pick us up and return us one evening as we didn't have a car.
We checked out a day earlier than planned as we had an early flight so decided to stay somewhere closer to the airport bus pick-up. The manager was dismayed to hear of our decision and was apologetic that he still had to charge us the additional night's accommodation that we had booked, which we understood would be the case. As a goodwil gesture he knocked down the price of our bar bill and paid for a taxi to the station which was incredibly good of him and much appreciated by us. He is very serious about his role there and is fantastic at customer service and making sure his guests have a great stay.

Google maps not helpful in locating the place, but people in town did their best to direct us. Our rooms were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well , which was appreciated because it was quite warm for late April.. One couple had a room facing the pool and we enjoyed the view and lawn chairs with our group of 10 before going to dinner in the on site restaurant. Be sure to reserve..... During our four night stay , there were several public school bus groups staying , who did tend to run up and down the halls in the late evening , not always controlled well by chaperones . Breakfast included consisted of fruit, juice, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, breads and sweet treats with coffee. There were apples and oranges to take away if desired. Staff at reception were quite helpful. In a standard room, you are facing the busy street but the window and door were of sturdy material and kept the street sounds to a minimum.

We (me and my wife) stayed here just for one day during our journey from Rome to Sorento. Our intention was to see Sorrento and Vico Equense. We made our trip walking from Siano to Sorrento with a short break in Torre Barbara hotel.
I can say what it was a very good choice. It is definitely a place where one can relax and enjoy the nature. Amazing views, air. Very nice hotel and service. Just what we needed to recover from previous hiking.

The poor attitude of some of the staff did not spoil the location or superb views of the Napoli coast and Vesuvius. The reception staff were great but the bar staff, and especially the outside facilities staff, were no good at all. In the end, it was amusing to find that they 'stopped serving ice-creams' after 1.30pm, and had 'run out' of drinks. Once we mentioned this to the reception staff, they soon sorted us out. The hotel has great potential, and fortunately a good free shuttle service to the local town.....

The hotel is seemingly predominantly a venue for occasions run by a very friendly family and small team. There were no events on when we stayed though and I think we may have been the first arrivals of the season so there were a few creases being ironed out (e.g. the pool wasn't ready... but the hotel is near the top of a significant hill and it was quite a bit cooler and breezier in May than the coast, reducing the need for a pool).
Regardless, the care of the staff is a real strength and nothing seemed to be too much trouble (e.g. the owner gave us a lift into town when a taxi couldn't be booked). It felt a little like staying with family friends. Our room (#7) was large, spacious and had a private terrace which commanding great views across the Bay of Naples and to Vesuvius. It was clean and comfortable but it lacked a few modern conveniences: this is not a business hotel or a big chain and I daresay little quirks would have been corrected if we really wanted. Breakfast is continental type but generous (the fresh apple juice was a cut above and the warm croissants were a treat). We also had a couple of evening meals in the restaurant which was simple, tasty and good value.
Overall, the stay was relaxing and fun. I think the hotel would suit couples and families who want something that is a bit different and not too corporate.

My wife and I had one of the best trips in our life this October. We are both architects specialized in heritage conservation and urban planning, a trip to Italy can be overwhelming!. After several days touring in Tuscany, Rome and Pompei, Villa Ketty was our best treat. Its location makes it convenient in Vicco Equense, half way between Naples and Amalfi, from here you can visit your favorite spots along the coast and enjoy a magnificent view over Naples bay by night. It's a very exclusive and secluded family owned property. Once in Vicco Equense forget about your car, they'll take care for you to chill out. Best sunset of the year (bring your favorite wine and olives) great company (Ketty's family and small group of international guests). The artisan-organic prima colazione just wakes you up in a dream. Spend sometime at the pool and enjoy those views, walk down to the beach or join their workshop on pottery. Get out from crowds! ask Antonio to book a private sailboat for a day at the ocean or Capri. Enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the restaurants in town. Definitely we'll be back!

Part of the Sorrentine Peninsula, Vico Equense boasts lovely white steep cliffs with a view over the Bay of Naples. Worthwhile attractions include Giusso Castle on the coast and the austere Mont Faito.
