A unexpected findPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Only 9 rooms
Cons: More counter space in the bathroom
Location: No time to explore the area
We stayed in the Westerly Plan, on the main floor, I would recommend perhaps the 2nd or 3rd floor, if you are able to walk stairs. It was a little noisy in the morning, while they were preparing for the breakfast The breakfast was wonderful, nicely served and fresh. It makes no difference whether you are facing the road, or in the back facing the parking lot. No view, but still a great stay, with each room filled with wonderful Antique furniture.

Country Inn in the heart of SidneyPosted Nov 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was very comfortable. Staff were courteous and friendly and provided us with a lovely pot of tea and goodies when we were settling in. The rooms are a good size and very well appointed. The large jetted tub was an added bonus.

Quaint B&BPosted Sep 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
What a wonderful 1 night stay we had! We checked in late and we were treated by Warren who was just charming. Upon entering we were welcomed to a glorious parlour and there were drinks and snacks laid out for the guests. We just knew that we were regretting only staying one night. Our room was gloriously decorated and because we arrived late our bed was already turned down. Breakfast was served at two different sittings and the meal was very filling to help you get through the day! We had a late departure and they were kind enough to hold our bags for us. Definitely a place to stay if you just want to relax and avoid the hustle and bustle of a hotel! Loved it!!!!!

Lucky find in SidneyPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: The ambiance...elegance in the old world style but modern conveniences.
Location: Close to downtown, easy walking distance to restaurants & shops.
Beacon Inn provided great and friendly service...letting us check in early and leave a little later because we did not have a vehicle. Food and snacks very good and generous.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Beacon Inn. The staff were exceptional and the breakfasts were supered. Very nice clean rooms. We liked it so much that we booked an extra night. I would stay there again anytime that I would be in the area.
