We picked it because we needed to be downtownPosted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: Area of location, easy access by bus ( we do not drive), the staff at the Reception desk.
Cons: Liked the old-fashioned style of the basin in the room but the fixture could be upgraded. Since we were two in the room, two seats ...
Location: We like Government St. and the vicinity to Hudson's Bay. Also, book store, Irish shop, Scottish one too.
happily surprised to find a café/bistro in the hotel. We didn't want to have to go out for a light breakfast.

Nice Hotel convenient to downtown access walking.Posted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: The wood burning fireplace in our room. Access to downtown by foot.
Cons: It is an old hotel, so it would be very difficult to change or update the bathrooms.
Location: Shopping access and access to pubs and restaurants within walking distance.
We love staying at your hotel because of the wood burning fireplace in the room we rent. That is the draw. The bathroom is not very functional. Not enough space to put one's toiletries, etc on the little counter top. The room being old, does not have a very good heating system. At this time of the year, it can be rather cold in the room. We needed to use the electric heater in the mornings, however the power went out, as a result of using my hairdryer as well. It was quickly fixed by hotel staff. The front desk person was extremely friendly and very nice and caring. I would give him a 10 out of 10 for the job he is doing.

Staying at the Bedford RegencyPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: We like the location; downtown Victoria, and being able to browse in our favourite book store (Munro's) and buy our favourite tea at Murchie's
Cons: For one of us the pillows were a little too hard, so including a couple of soft pillows would be more comfortable.
Location: See above, other shopping is very good. We were given a complimentary upgrade which was delightful , view of the harbour from our third floor room.
This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Bedford Regency. As we have family living in Victoria we like to stay at the Bedford Regency when we have a special family occasion.

Walk to everythingPosted Oct 20, 2013
Cons: Working heater in the room. The room was small and there wasn't a lot of floor space for a space heater.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The wifi access was dodgy and slow to connect. The room was very quiet. A little disappointed that there was no bathtub in the room only a stand up shower. The thermostat did not work and hotel staff had to provide a space heater. We were close enough to everything we wanted to see that we were able to walk everywhere.

great central location.Posted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: Nearly everything, the large room, the complimentary newspaper, the comfortable beds, windows that open, the quiet, the convenience to everything.
Cons: Elevator could be brighter, I don't see the need for a charge for local calls. We couldn't make decent tea that didn't taste like coffee.
Location: The hotel was within walking distance of most of Victoria's most popular attractions, close to shopping and tons of a large variety of restaurants.
The Bedford Regency Hotel was easy to find and perfectly located for non-drivers. Everything was close and convenient, and easy to find while on foot. The hotel was quiet which was a must for us. The room was pleasant, beds were very comfortable, and we could open windows with safety, I personally prefer fresh air to air conditioning. Please note my later comment on the coffee makers that make disgusting tea.

Perfect location for all facilities in VictoriaPosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: Clean. Private. Good value.
Cons: All was good.
Location: As previously stated, the perfect location for everything in Victoria.
A very welcoming, private hotel in a great location for the tourist or business person. Clean environment. I was not in a front room, so the street noise was not an issue. I thought parking away from the hotel would be an issue, but it was just as close as parking lots in other hotels I have been to, and the staff in the parking lot were very friendly and helpful. Desk staff were very helpful with changes we made to our reservations.

Great location!Posted Sep 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were surprised that the room wasn't air conditioned, although it didn't matter to us, as we prefer an open window. The location is very convenient to shopping and restaurants. We had a lovely view of the harbour, and a real wood-burning fireplace in our room. The one drawback is that the hotel doesn't offer breakfast in their restaurant, although there is an Artigiano's Cafe in the lobby if you're a fan of coffee and a bun type breakfasts. We prefer to order a traditional breakfast from a menu.

Centrally located valuePosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is older and it shows. The hotel is in a great location and our rate was reasonable, even for a labor day excursion. Our only issue was how slow things seemed to move at the front desk, but this will not deter us from returning in the future.

Average place in good location near waterfront arePosted Sep 6, 2013
Hotel was a bit expensive for the quality of the bed mattress. My friend's room was smelling like smoke and bothered all night. there was no offer of air fresheners for her. The layout of the hotel has some rooms tucked together with connecting doors. On the last night there a group was having a huge party and we could hear the noise. Thankfully the hotel staff called them and they were quiet, but they had already woken me from sleep. The towels were not large or thick. Housekeeping came very late to service room. I wouldn't have minded, but the cost was more than the quality I received. The room was not ready until precisely 3pm, even though we arrived at 2:45.
