“Very nice hotel”

The hotel is downtown and close to major sites. You can walk to nearly everything. The staff was very helpful, showing my friend and I, where to find shops, restaurants, and historical sites. Great maps for the city. The room was a little small for two double beds, but perfectly adequate. Everything was clean. The desk staff was even able to convert currency in small amounts, without charge, and advised using a credit card for most purchases. Victoria is a beautiful city. Too bad there is a charge for parking.

“Great downtown hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary trip”

This well-maintained hotel has a friendly, helpful staff and is well situated in a bustling, touristy, older downtown area. Everything we wanted to do was easily accessible by foot--we walked everywhere! Yes, there were panhandlers, but never overly aggressive. Even when walking back to our hotel late at night, there were plenty of tourists out and about, and safety wasn't an issue. We enjoyed our stay at the Carlton Plaza, and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

This is our second time to be here. It's great for a big family, 6 members! Best Western suites contains all the amenities and facilities for our family.

This trip was a quick weekend getaway. The room was small but clean and nicely furnished, clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was super!

“Hidden Gem in a Great Location”

Don't overlook this mid-sized Best Western in the heart of Victoria. Easy walking distance of virtually everything in downtown Victoria. Very polite and courteous staff. One of the staff booked a whale watching tour for us without any hesitation; she seemed stunned when I tipped her. Well equipped rooms with all the amenities other hotels nickel and dime you for - free WiFi, frig, coffee & tea service, etc.

“Great hotel”

The room was comfortable & the hotel staff was very helpful. The location is great; you can walk to Victoria's inner harbor, Chinatown, & many restaurants. Valet parking is very convenient ($9 per night). Car rentals are close by if you want to rent a car for a few days. I did not check excellent on comfort of the room because the bathroom was very small & a little inconvenient when two women were trying to get ready for the day at the same time. My sister & I definitely enjoyed our stay here.

“Victoria's Carlton Plaza Hotel”

Staying here was a pleasure! The staff are sincerely friendly and helpful. Because this is an older building the rooms are on the small side, but very comfortable. The hotel is well maintained, clean and within walking distance of many of Victoria's attractions. Kudos to a fine staff!
