Exceeded expectations

Great location- right downtown, tea/coffee makers in room, even had shower cap, which was unexpected for a 3 star. Staff was very friendly and really went above and beyond to be helpful. Building could use and upgrade.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Restaurant, surly staff, rough area.
Location: Dodgy...
Elevator doesn't work. Some staff lovely, others surly. Nestled between the beauty of the harbour and a rough area. Kitchenette not equipped. Avoid the restaurant at all costs. Overcooked potatoes, gnarly steak, basically nothing that won't come back to bite you. What's not to love? Should have known when it was a pre-paid booking.

Nothin Special, but right downtown
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: Free wifi, location.
Cons: Thin walls, shabby decor, no view at all.
Location: Right downtown, close to everything.
Great location, hotel kind of shabby. Not much to speak of, really. Lots of sound can be heard from rooms on either side, especially toilets flushing and loud voices. Very basic amenities, no view at all (brick wall for me) and generally awful smell in the hallway. Still, right downtown and close to everything. If you get it for cheap it is probably worth it, but lower your expectations. I really don't have much more to say.

Pros: The staff
Cons: no pool
Location: the block around the hotel was slightly seedy but past that was great shopping and restaurants.
The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Anytime we needed anything they were right on it. We asked that my car be our front at 6am and it was, I needed my charger out of my car and they got it for me and delivered it right to my room. Whenever you walked in to the lobby didnt matter which shift or staff rotation they were always smiling and helpful.

Little sound insulation and tiny bathrooms. An average size person would barely be able to move inside it. Pretty disapointing.
