A trip away from home.

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: I enjoyed the new look it had as if we were one of the only guests there and no one has ruined the new paint and d├ęcor.
Cons: I feel that what was lacking was more effort of the front desk staff and maybe something special to go with the coffee they offer in the rooms.
Location: The location is just out of Sooke downtown. The pier in Sooke and harbour house is close by. It is by a main road.
We checked in on time. The front of house staff were pleasant enough, she just seemed to be in a hurry when we were the only ones in the lobby and the parking lot was empty. I just expected a longer conversation about what the hotel offers and maybe deals that are available in the future for staying there. She didn't ask where we were from or if we knew the area. Luckly we have been to Sooke many times so we knew our way around but I was a bit disappointed. The rooms were nice and clean and tidy. We heard something in the next door room that woke us in the middle of the night but we think it was someone checking in late. The bed was soft and clean and they had two t.v.s in the rooms. One in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. I've never seen that! Check out was really easy. Over all the experience was nice.

Hotel was nice , clean , very comfy beds. the room was cold, and we couldn't figure out the heat, but we were only there to sleep so didn't bother. would be nice if they would include breakfast.

Nice Pet Friendly Hotel

Posted Nov 13, 2014
We had a great time staying here. The room on the main level had high ceilings and was set up for our small dog. Nice large pillow and bowl for him. The balcony and deck chairs were right out our door. Really nice bay to walk the pier at. The only drawback was a herd of kids from a hockey team were let on the loose by their parents who were in the bar.

Great place to stay

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: That it was fairly close to home and on the ocean as well.
Cons: Everything was great, no improvement needed.
Location: worth taking the Jordan River to Lk Cowichan route back up island. It was beautiful.
Celebrated our 49th anniversary here and the staff were excellent. The restaurant staff, Jessie and Stephen were just superb and made our night fantastic.

Nice Hotel

Posted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Nice drive to beaches and hiking spots. The town of Sooke was cool especially during Halloween, all the kids trick or treated to all the shops.
Nicely designed and maintained hotel, nice ambiance to it as well. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Very clean. Lobby, hotel room, and facilities were spotless. Nice views.

The hotel was very nice, clean, safe.

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness, the modern amenities, the parking, the quick elevators.
Cons: That they offer some type of continental breakfast.
Location: This hotel was in Sooke, BC and it was beautiful. On the beach, beautiful views. Sooke and nearby Victoria offer so much from boating to hiking.
We were there for two nights. To find this level of hotel in Sooke was very surprising and Expedia offered a great rate. Compared to the cost of the nearby B&B's this won hands down. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not open until happy hour and on Saturday and Sunday the coffee cart never opened before we left for sightseeing each day. The coffee is handed out very sparingly by the hotel staff, once you drink the two cups in the room, which was 10 minutes for us. It would be great to offer coffee or some type of continental breakfast, especially in such a remote area. I would happily pay more for breakfast if it was offered. I wish that the pool and fitness club was opened earlier in the morning. But all in all a very nice experience. We will definitely use it again, since we have family in the area.
