hotel is very conveniently located.

Pros: Its location primarily.
Cons: bathroom tiles could be repaired.
Location: It is downtown in the inner harbour. The legislature, museum, Empress Hotel and downtown bar scene are all within walking distance.
The hotel is in a wonderful location, close to all of the downtown Victoria facilities and activities. The room was comfortable and clean with a proper stove, small fridge and microwave. The bathroom was small and clean but did show its age by some missing tile grout around the baseboard. There is a lively bar scene on the first floor and the restaurant was adequate to the breakfast which was partially subsidized by the hotel. At a hundred dollars all found I would certainly stay there again.

Pros: Location, price and friendly staff.
Cons: No suggestions
Location: See experience
Enjoyed walking from hotel to around harbor and downtown. Biking around the James Bay shoreline and fisherman's wharf area. Enjoyed the scenic and comfortable bar/restaurant. Really liked the restaurant breakfast and the friendly staff especially Susann.

Basic hotel close to downtown.

Posted Apr 4, 2014
This hotel had all the basics including free parking and a Continental breakfast (of $4.50 off a menu item). The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quite small and the bathroom was very small. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. For the price it was perfect.

Good price

Cons: Too bad the pool and hot tub were not in order
Location: Perfect location for visiting Victoria
Appreciated the individual coffee maker and kettle to boil water for tea along with china mugs and glasses versus paper or plastic. The bed was comfy. Free parking and a continental breakfast included in the price made for a great price.

Pros: The price was the best to be found for the time of year.
Cons: Hallway carpets need some mending at the seams
Location: Shopping, sightseeing, dining are all near by.
Complimentary continental breakfast, free parking and an excellent location with a room price of $71 made this hotel a good choice for downtown Victoria.

Good price for a Downtown hotel

Posted Mar 30, 2014
The price is pretty good compared to most hotels in the downtown area, but you get what you pay for. Shower was too small even for one person, the heaters in the room do not work, and if you look carefully you can see areas where the hotel is in disarray (e.g. dry wall coming off the wall in the supplies closet)

Excellent Location

Pros: Free continental breakfast value of which could be used towards other items on the menu. Free parking.
Location: Located on the inner harbour in Victoria, BC. Ferry to the U.S.A.; museums and attractions, shopping, restaurants.
The hotel itself is located within walking distance to the harbour, restaurants, shopping, and several attractions. I really appreciated the free parking and continental breakfast each day during our stay. The hotel was very noisy at times. We had the misfortune of sharing a floor with a large group of 12-13 year old boys, who amused themselves by running up and down the hallway shouting and banging doors on a Monday evening. The parents ignored their activities and stood in the hall drinking beer. The group were staying in a hotel in order to attend a sports function. Not really what I expected to happen in an downtown hotel.
