Nice but Odd

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Clean & convenient.
Cons: Very unfortunate design choices in terms of layout, location and installation of drink & ice machines, choice of heat pumps over central system.
Location: Easy access to highway and local shopping malls.
Hotel is relatively new. Room nice but not huge. Bathroom very big. Close-Up mirror would be nice. Pillows way too soft for healthy sleeping posture. Heat pump very noisy and right next to bed. Impossible to get a good night's sleep. Nice patio bar. Main pub/restaurant buried in basement. Odd layout. Drink & Ice machines in corridors are noisy and great sources of heat.

Standard Four Points.

Stay in enough of these and you can get around with a blindfold. Location is fine. Hotel is clean. Price was high, but it is tourist season, so there you have it.

Nice place to stay

It's not located in downtown Victoria but close enough. If you do not mind a little distance, this hotel will be the right choice. We enjoyed the swimming pool with sauna and it's just right beside the Costco!

Great hotel for fishing base.

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Rooms very cosy and beds extremely comfortable. Ice machines worked great to fill fish coolers with fresh ice during the July. Pool facilities super.
Cons: Promo free craft beer sample was a thimble-full. Get real!
Location: Location close to good restaurants and box stores.
We booked a 2 day fishing charter out of Sooke BC, close to Victoria. Nothing was available in Sooke so we booked this hotel in Langford for 2 nights.

Pros: Comfortable and easy to find. It is at least 9 miles out of downtown Victoria, but the road in is easy.
Cons: Breakfast would be nice.
Location: Relatively close to downtown. Buchart at least 15 miles away near Sidney. Roads easy to travel.
3 nights Easy to get in and out of downtown. Might want to add Abkhazi Gardens to your tour. Best beer selection is not far from Abkhazi at Penny Farthing Pub.

Excellent stay

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: The cleaniness and friendly staff,
Cons: N/A
Location: Like the close shops and resturants
This was our last night on Vancouver Island. We had been camping on the island for 10 days so it was very nice to have a very comfy bed to sleep in before our long drive home to Edmonton, AB the next day. We have no coplaints about the hotel. Family friendly.
