Pool

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Awesome location
Cons: better directory as to where things are on the property, pool, restaurants etc.. a nice map?
Pool was out of order, disappointment for our son, they did offer another hotel pool to use but we did not want to have to walk over to another hotel for a swim, this was a 4 star hotel, the pool should be working.

Wonderful staff and fantastic location

Posted May 15, 2015
It's been a while since we've stayed in hotel where the staff was this well trained and so into delivering world class service. The room was immaculate and location can't be beat. This hotel is perfect for walking to the top sites in Victoria. We will go back.

Location: Perfect location for someone visiting from out of town.
Beautiful hotel close to downtown, next to the capital building. Services are wonderful and the hotel spa and pool are great.

Great Location!!

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: The gym is a nice gym with a pool. We used the gym and it's very clean with the usual gym equipment. The rooms are very spacious.
Cons: the hot water situations needs to be fixed, it could be b/c of the renovations.
Location: Across the street is the harbor with tons to do. We took a seaplane tour from there and went to the boat show. shopping is a 10 min walk to downtown.
I paid for an upgrade to a suite with partial mountain and water view, it was partial all right! Full view of the Days Inn roof and pool. The view was what I booked, my fault for sure. So we requested a move and the hotel accomodated us the next day. Now, this is an older, stately type hotel, and our first room decor was an example of being older, but we didn't mind the decor, very vintage but charming. The new suite on the 8th floor was lovely, spacious, full view of the bay, and with modern type decor. Spectacular view. However! the hot water took forever!! you had to run the faucets a crazy long time to get hot water, so wasteful! The doors are heavy doors that need closing adjustments so they don't slam. We also couldn't seem to cool the bedroom for sleeping, tried everything. Probably on timers. Would we stay there again? absolutely. You can't beat the location! Walking was all we did, we never used our rental car. So much to see and do. Go to Fishermans Wharf for sure, or seaplane tour of the coast. All available across the street from the Grand Pacific.

Shoebox of a room.

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: Location of hotel was great for sightseeing?
Cons: Larger window and 25 sq feet more room, at least.
Location: Really nice location to the pacific market and close to a lot of good eateries, pubs and shopping (if shopping is your thing).
Could not even watch TV from bed. Screen was large but hard to focus with TV so close to foot of bed. Bed was comfy.

Great long pool!

Posted May 13, 2015
Main reason we picked staying in this hotel was because of its pool and the location. The pool did not disappoint! Unfortunately, we found the bed quite uncomfortable. Parking was also quite expensive as the hotel was located downtown Victoria by the harbour. The room decor wasn't for us as it was quite old-fashioned, but it was clean and had the basics so we were happy nevertheless.

Best trip

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Upgrade the furniture
Location: Fantastic location, steps from the harbor and waling distance to shopping.
This was a long weekend trip for us. From the moment we checked into the hotel, we were greeted with a wonderful staff that did everything possible to accommodate our every need. Clean rooms, but the furniture were scuffed up some, great location, good food, friendly staff. Will go back again.

Nice location to everything. Beautiful scenery.

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: I loved our room, with the sofa and wing back chair. the room was so spacious. The view at night was breathtaking.
Cons: The furniture had nicks in it,and it all looked really used. A little more color to brighten up the room.
Location: They have really cute shops to go through, The Impress Hotel serve High Tea which is nice. They have a museum a block away, you can rent a boat ride.
I loved the going into the gym which was a very nice one. I used it everyday I was there. I used the pool and sit in the Jacuzzi every evening. I loved their restaurant and the food they serve. I am amazed at the people in Victoria they are all so friendly. I was really impressed.
