Nice, central location. Noisy.

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, aesthetic.
Cons: Not sure if they can do anything about the noise, as it's structural. Front desk said that it's as good as it gets in the downtown area. I'm dubious.
Location: Walk to shopping, restaurants, govt buildings, museum, waterfront.
One night stay in this clean, modern, well-located hotel. Structure must be old because heating and pipe noises (cracking, flushing, etc.) as well as neighbouring noise kept us up. Ear plugs provided on night stands, which was a first for me, but we quickly found out why.

Great location and guest amenities

Posted Nov 16, 2014
The bed and pillows were super comfy. I enjoyed the complimentary cheese platter at Veneto as well as the morning hot bevy and baked good. Hotel staff were friendly and professional. I went to the private gym down the street which was a nice amenity since it's a small boutique hotel.

Ear plugs beware

Posted Nov 15, 2014
When you walk in your room and there are ear plugs on your night stand compliments of the hotel, that should have been the first sign to request another room. You can hear traffic zooming by all night. If you stay at this hotel, request a room not on the street side. Other than the noise, i liked the hotel for the price and location.

Stay here but don't stay in Room 310

Posted Nov 12, 2014
The room door did not close unless pushed. The TV was in a corner and could not be seen comfortably from the bed. There were no tables and chairs altho the kitchenette was good. The ice maker was set into the wall and made a tremendous noise until midnight. The towels were not next to the sink or the shower but at the far end of the bathroom. I'd bet that the other rooms were not like this one so I would recommend the hotel.

A real find in VIctoria

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: just about everything
Cons: nothing
Location: Victoria, short walk to the harbor, near Chinatown, great restaurants
Everything was great. staff, room, cleanliness, convenience, cost, restaurant, breakfast. All were superior. The only areas that were less convenient were: 1) parking was about 1/2 block from the hotel across a busy street and 2) our window looked out onto another wing of the building about 20 feet away. Not much of a view and it was hard to see what the weather was like outside. These were minor compared to the value we got from our stay here. We highly recommend it.

Great boutique hotel

Awesome staff. Great location. Very clean. Modern with a classic feel. The cafe and restaurant attached to the hotel were amazing, also! Our room (#113) was small but still comfy.

Perfect Location, Perfect Price

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: 10$ food voucher per night for waiving room cleaning. Location was right in the downtown mix. Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms.
Cons: Lighting in the rooms.
Location: Plenty of restaurants, the harbour, BC parliament, china town, and other specialty shops.
Great downtown location and price. Everything we could ask for was within walking distance. The hotel itself appeared recently renovated, and we found ourselves quite comfortable. We appreciated the amenities like a mini-fridge, a microwave, and even heated flooring in the washroom. They even offer a $10 credit towards the in-house restaurant per night you waive having your room made up. The staff was friendly, and we took advantage of the loaner umbrellas daily. There were a couple of negatives: parking was not free and was not located within the building, and we found the room to have inadequate lighting. All-in-all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for its location, price vs. quality, and friendly staff.

Above and beyond what we could have wished for

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: Heated bathroom floor, quiet, well taken care of, friendly staff that go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
Our stay was pleasant in every way. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The cafe and tapas bar both served great food and the service was amazing. We will most definitely be returning to the Rialto for a perfect little getaway at an affordable price with everything you need to be comfortable and happy right at your fingertips!
