“Hotel went from a 5 to a 2 in one month.”

I have been staying at this hotel once a month for business and the hotel used to be a 5 to me, excellent in every way and from one month to the next it feel apart. The prices increased which made no sense because as soon as I walked in my room it smelled like smoke and went from looking like a new hotel to a rather old one. There was no toilet paper or tissue in the tissue box, the shower look like it had been used and not cleaned (there was spots on the floor), the shower knob was broken making it difficult to turn on/off, the light was out at the doorway, there was a piece of popcorn stuck in the ac causing it to raddle all night and to make matters more disgusting and prove my theory that this room had not been cleaned I saw a small ticket by the alarm clock and it was a movie ticket for 2 days before my stay (I guess the cleaners who failed to clean didn't catch that). It was hard to sleep through the night knowing the room was clearly not cleaned at all, if I hadn't been so exhausted from working all day I'd of insisted on a room switch. I'm going to be finding a new hotel in Victoria to stay at from now on.
