Wonderful B&B!Posted Dec 27, 2014
Pros: Everything...the quaintness, the friendliness, the neighborhood and the amazing breakfasts!
Cons: No complaints!
Location: The Humboldt House is in a quiet neighborhood near St. Anne's Academy and close to downtown. It was an easy walk to everything we wanted to see.
We so enjoyed our Christmas holiday at Humboldt. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. The innkeepers are friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the quiet neighborhood. You'll be glad you chose the Humboldt House!

Perfect Romantic GetawayPosted Dec 2, 2014
Our new favorite B&B. This is the perfect place for a cozy getaway. Beautiful ambiance and attention to detail. Breakfast delivered to your room! Even a small fridge and glasses so you can enjoy that bottle of your favorite wine while soaking in the tub and listening to the crackling of a real wood fireplace. The location is perfect for exploring the downtown on foot. Loved it!

Wow, wow and wow!Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Pure, dumb luck! Found on the internet.
Location: Wonderful location, walking distance to everything downtown Victoria.
We were welcomed with sherry and treats and shown our theme related room. We had a large jucuzzi tub and a working fireplace, laid and ready to light. There was chilled sparkling wine in the frig and a wonderful chocolate truffle. We were given a restaurant recommendation that was very good (Petrocellies?). I was concerned with the traffic noise in the room but it was zero soon after 9 p.m. Very quiet and comfortable. Super clean. And then there was breakfast! No sitting in a room with strangers eating 18" away! No! Our breakfast arrived at the room at the appointed time in a large basket. It was extremely well packed. I had eggs benedict, my husband smoked salmon and shrimp crepes. Included was croissants, fruit, coffee, tea, and all was outstanding! Great place period, and definitely great for the price. Walking distance to all of downtown. Super location.

Location, location, location!Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: The location was ideal, and the B&B was charmingly ornate.
Cons: It'd be great to have a hot water kettle for tea in the evening.
Cozy, quaint Victorian B&B lcoated next to St. Ann's Academy National Historic site and grounds. It was a leisurely 5-minute walk to the Inner Harbour and the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Breakfast every monring was scrumptious and hardy.

Romantic getawayPosted Aug 19, 2014
The B and B was very pleasant, quiet and clean. We were served breakfast in our room and enjoyed the large jacuzzi as well. We received. A complementary small bottle of sparkling white wine and a couple of chocolates made by the owner. We would stay there again.

Wonderful retreat in the center of VictoriaPosted Aug 9, 2014
Location: This B and B is in the heart of Victoria and we walked everywhere in town. There are restaurants, museums, and activities within walking distance.
We were on our honeymoon in Victoria and were looking for that special place that would make our honeymoon even more special. Humboldt House meet, and exceeded, our expectations. The celebration suite was on the main floor, but back at the back of the house. The room was spacious and well furnished. There is a soaking, jetted tub. One of the best features was the breakfast. The food and the choices of the meals were fantastic. They have a system that allows you to choose the time for your breakfast and they serve it in the room through a wall unit that allows you to enjoy your meal in privacy. This was a wonderful place for our honeymoon, or any romantic get away. David was a great host and was helpful when we needed him, and gave us our space when we wanted it.

Beautiful high end experience!Posted Aug 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
The house is absolutely beautiful! The host is gracious and quite helpful but at the level that allows you to enjoy the romantic weekend. Breakfast in the room is amazing and still private. Truly a gourmet meal, elegant and well made.
